Just a Rose Pt1

Standing at your grave
Thinking,
It could be someone else's life
But why you?
Why try to be so brave?
He was a soldier
Martyr did he die.
Splendidly lifeless was I
But just could only cry.

A faint memory striked my head
"Do me a favour.
When I'll be dead,
Do not forget
To take out of my pocket,
The rose red."
His words made me reminiscent.
Never knew, it'll be painful to this extent.

It all started
At a library with a glance.
Short sleeve T's, khaki pants
Without a doubt
He was a man made for romance "He's the one"
My heart ecstatically said
"Go on, don't be afraid."
 I don't blame myself
But he made me stalk him
Through every street.
No killer I am,
I just wanted to meet.
But suddenly,
I lost him near a crossroad.
A deep cracking voice echoed
"I don't like to be followed."
Dumbstruck was I
Suspicious was he.
"Would you mind to have a cup of coffee?"
I gulped.
"Only if you're paying up"
Sternly he said. "He surely is the one"
I gasped.
From coffee to dinner dates,
Not only me but he also paid.
We frequently used to write letters,
Bcoz retrospect suited us better.
I could never expect
I would ever receive
So much love and respect.

A Pisces made for a Leo.
I still remember
The awkward conversations
And longwalks under
The flickering street lights.
Our need for each other
A perfect example of obsession
Every moment spent with him
Was my dearest possession
My strongest desires
I always tried to hide.
But I fail to understand
Do all soldiers have the power
To read your mind wide?
Not kissing like teenagers,
Not having tantric sex
But walk miles
In a vineyard, spending
Warm afternoons strolling down
the rows of heaving grapes
Sharing a romantic dance.

Came the season of monsoon.
I know that did happen too soon
Not di I remember much to say
But, oh my, that was indeed a day.
As the first drops of rain poured down
I turned around
Only to find him on his knees
"Will you share your umbrella
With me for the rest of your life?"
He asked, as he sneezed.
Here was my response
"Well then, if you love me
Half as good as I love you
There'll be a wedding
 In a week or two."

A Conversation With Lily Bloom

“Did it hurt,” I asked
Lily looked at me her expression unmasked
“Did what hurt?”
“Always having to be on the alert?”
Before she could respond, I continued, “Watching and waiting for the next strike.”
She sighed before saying, “we’re alike.”
“How would you know?”
She breathed out a laugh. “It’s not like you need outward injuries to show.”
I blinked, “what do you mean?”
“Sometimes, the worse cuts are those that cannot be seen.”
She cupped my face with her hand
I could feel my tears fighting to withstand
“You don’t have to be the one abused to feel the effects of an abuser.”
“I know how you may want to keep quiet. You don’t want to seem like an accuser.”
My face trembled in her hand
“And I’m not saying you have to take a stand.”
“But, trauma is trauma, my little flower.”
“And no matter what you do, you should not cower”
A tear slipped from my moist eye
She then cupped my face with both hands before whispering, “it’s important to cry”
I whispered back, “but what if I don’t want to cry.”
“With each tear, you are kissing your hurt goodbye”
“That is why it is so important to cry.”
“I don’t want to admit it hurts,” I sighed
“For I wasn’t the one who was striked.”
“Every time you witnessed, you were stripped.”
“What do you mean,” I asked
“You now have a cut within your soul that cannot be masked.”
“No matter how long the clock ticks, you will always have those cuts within your soul.”
“So, don’t act like you should not hurt because you are no longer whole.”
She squeezed my cheeks with her hands, “Nothing is your fault, that you must not forget”
“You are a victim and have every right to be upset.”
“But I-”
“No buts. You will not feel guilty if you must cry.”
I blinked, for I could not speak
Lily's color began to fade, “I must go now, but remember you are not weak”
“Never forget what I’ve told you,” she said as she lowered her hands from my face
She then tugged me into the most comforting embrace
“Okay,” I breathed
She gave me a soft smile before disappearing, “Okay indeed.”

Neither Understood, Nor Explained

NEITHER UNDERSTOOD, NOR EXPLAINED

I was believed the mightiest of all,
The thing known was only my countrymen soul.
I worked upon day and night in silence,
For my nation I had the path lf violence.

I commanded work with me, don't stop till you achieve,
There is only one priority from day to eve.
I spoke whatever I felt was right,
As my countrymen welfare was my sight.

Once, a winter night in days of battle,
I went out silently to see was everything settle.
Fog and mist was all around,
It was calm but then I heard a certain sound.

When I noticed the topic of voice was me,
So to listen, I got hidden behind the tree.
I was excited to know their views,
Being a king I still felt on head water dews.

In a moment my heart got jerk,
They spoke something which won't work.
I loved my countrymen by heart,
The had uttered something which hurt.

"He thinks him to be supreme,
Always thinks to command upon team".
Other said-"His pride is more above,
Nor countrymen has got his love".

For the first time I had such opinion,
I never thought from this vision.
Was I really of this way,
Should I go away or think here to stay?

Back to palace, I very well knew,
Tomorrow was the last battle of queue.
The watch striked midnight,
Somewhere in my heart dilemma was at its height.

Now I was at battle hours,
With my army I kept raising country towers.
We all fought with our full strength ,
Finally my country had all boundry length.

People celebrated the victory,
All together said I had created history.
I could hear appreciation everywhere,
But I knew many still blamed anywhere.

Within me, I knew I was correct,
Though many didn't knew this fact.
And I like constant never thought of loss and gain,
That why they neither understood ,I nor explained.

This Old Stormy Night

Here I stand, thinking listing to Whispers in the night, as I am glancing out my window,
I hear the thunder roll and the lightning strike as it's dancing in the dark blue sky,
Oh- and the rain is falling falling falling and I can't seem to clear this mind of mine.

While I stand here pondering old memories of you and me.
Remembering all those field's we ran threw full of white snow,Chasing after love,
and in summer time, picking the wild flowers, and chasing butterfly's - oh- chasing butterfly's.

It put's a smile on my face, having these priceless memories that nothing could replace,
Oh- honey In good times and in bad,
We were side by side, promising this Love for all of time. So I will stand here thinking for a while as I smile,

I will be glancing out my window, listing to that
thunder roll and the lightning strike as it's dancing in the dark blue sky,
Oh- and the rain is falling falling falling and I can't seem to clear this mind of mine.
While I stand here pondering old memories of you and me.

This old heart of mine won't forget,
the happiness, and all the wonderful years we'd been given And all the joy with so many priceless memories, I'll be great Full in my life's ending, And when I walk threw those pearly Gates in heaven I may look back for a second or two, just to remember how that thunder rolled and the lightning striked as it danced in the dark blue
Sky.

Oh- and the rain is falling falling falling and I can't seem to clear this mind of mine.
While I stand here pondering old memories of you and me----

Oh- and the rain is falling falling falling and I can't seem to clear this mind of mine.

More Foolish Than the Fool I Am

waking up to
what I thought was a
normal day
until I take a step forward
walking into
the invisible barbed wires
cutting into my outreaching hands
blood dripping down my arms
my face scarred
tears of crimson
i couldn’t see the limits
still can’t see them
never knowing how long they will last
staying in the same position
eyes only chasing the glowing stars
that appear once a month
never knowing what they are
with no way of ever finding out
with time revolving around me
mocking me of my own immobility
while time freely goes forward
on its own accord
i envy time
i envy the cranes flying freely in the heavens above
i envy movement
full of vitality and hope
the motion of the waves
predictable in its predictability
the rainstorms pounding down the windows
comes and goes
never knowing when it will come next
comes and goes
with the towers of sunlight
erecting through the skies
only to be striked down
in a moment of seconds
i envy
i wish i could forget everything
i learned about the constellations
the existence of
the phoenixes and the dragons
the rise and the deaths of
the past gods and goddesses
that once ruled our earth
i wish i was more foolish
than the fool i already am
what is more painful is
a fool who knows that they’re a fool
and that is the truth
the wretched yet inevitable truth
that I can never run away from
just keeps flashing back at me
endlessly like
a pounding pendulum
that never leaves my head
to the peace and quiet of my
solidarity sobs

Silent Screams

You Pretended to be
As a predator you
Watched
Waited
Striked
Your ruthless hungry feed of the blood of the new
Satisfying your frustrations because of your mistakes
With each second of your day you molded them into what you wanted them to be
A Book one after the other filling each page with a controlled evil from your hands
and mind
Making sure that each strike of your hand on the book satisfied your demented mind
Angry with who you are you created these books filled with empty pages with doubt
You filled them with stuck ways and confusion of independence
Stories of misfortune and empty love
Shamelessly completing your endeavors by using these books as your slaves
Not giving love just because
Only giving love to make sure that the Silent Screams remained silent
Yet you never thought before you started creating your story in these books
You never thought that these Silent Screams would one day burst into motion
Letting out sound and vindication
Now you sit scared for your life
Your history hunting you every day
For what laid behind each book cover was anger and a thirst for justice to be
served against you
Those Silent Screams from the new has cried out against you
Now you're going to pay by the hands of the law
Because with time doing what's wrong will catch up to you
You live each day looking over your shoulder
One day your world will fall and crumble
All because you couldn't be humble
Showing no love beyond that irrational mind of yours
You lose

Agony of a Swindled Bird

Now it is I chime with sage;
The god of wit!
Clanged his sword with warders
Of profound thinking,
Buried the hatchet with the successors of
intense cognizance,
Scrawled an epitaph of honour,
To raise the Lazarus of creativity,
And returned with bolstered wits;
Boxed in Sage's cranial faculty.
The wind of Sage blew away the foggy cloud,
For all to know that it is but only a shroud,
Sage made it known, that however small the
cub,
Not will it cease to live as a scrub,
It could even blow the whistle, against a crowd.

I chirped in a melodious tone,
Spread my two fully-feathered serrated
wings.
My eyes were blinking in delight,
I said to myself;
'at last! the saviour is come',
When she stood her beautifully built figure
Before my sight.

Oh dear!
I was in a cage,
I was in my home,
Where I was made to secure.
She never passed,
To notice as I gesticulated,
She was blind to my pretty gestures.
I cried!
All my chimeric dreams,
Escaping! through the chimney, I
thought.

Almost was I drifting into a tearful sleep,
When she freed me from my home.
She said I was beautiful!
'Pretty! ' she yelled,
My beauty striked her short of married phrases.

Poorly did I know,
That all my gestures were only a bid,
I knew not it was all a bargain,
All I wanted was to be loved by her.

Lucy Trayfield.

Is it going to be the low, high, wrong or right path?

Something I've grasped

You can't get any time back

Days and nights just might pass

Quite fast

The weather and intentions of people colder than ice packs

Humans kill and fight over cash

Just like that

In more or less than five flat

How quickly some will put a knife in your back

Trying to set you up in some kind of trap

Regardless of if it leaves all ties slashed

Too many have little to no regard for life and laugh

And it is not by chance

Sometimes due to a leak in a line of gas

Explosions caused after one striked a match

Usually causing damage and a bright flash

Medicines made by plants

Occasional ocean waves with white caps

Vague and very well defined maps

Crude and fine crafts

Dotted, single colored and striped hats

Near and far from spice racks

As well as any spyglass or wine glass

There was different types of bats

Inside a mineshaft

A sack of rice sat

Ending up becoming a nice snack

For several sighted or blind rats

A house with orange, grey , black and white cats

And nine mats

Several windows ajar so there is a slight draft

In the sky photographed

Another unidentified craft

Not going to give this a timestamp

While using a stihl trimmer to slice the grass

My One and Only Love

My love for you is so great,
my heart melts for you night and day
Time drags on when your away,

Your beauty is great,
My mind wanders 'til I see you,
Thinking about you is all I do , all i need
While waiting for the moment, for you to say "I do."

The moment when we take the lead, take the lead on life
When the moment comes you’ll be my wife
Together until the day we die
You’ll always be the apple of my eye.
My arms around your shoulder
Then your hand comes to mine as its holder
I still remember the day we met

I remember the day you told me it was, me you liked
I had a feeling like I had just striked
Striked ten pins in bowling
And it took a few months afterward for the relationship to get rolling
But then I finally asked you out
The feeling after that was a feeling like i had just caught the biggest trout
The first kiss
Hesitant to do it at first in case i might miss
I go for the cheek first afraid of what you will think
I am afraid that my face might go pink
Then eventually I get over those feelings
I think “damn my pride”
I get over my fear and go for the ride

Then there was our first public display of affection
Then, at that moment I really felt a connection
Though then I was not at all involved
I really felt your loves call

My sweetheart
My baby girl
My pookie
My love
My girlfriend
