Premium Member Robins Dart

As the Robins dart across the grass
Ignoring the clouds of gray
Cold breeze and cold dry air
Every so often they bob their heads
Eating a bug or seed something to me unseen

The Redbuds that in the wild do grow
Begin to show their true colors
Along the roads as about our lives we go
Awaking soon to different shades of green
They'll fill the artist's canvas of woods

Each tree shows its beautiful or knarled
Structure that's not now hidden by leaf or flower
Some being stately and others
Seem to be dower some look as
Though being crownded or shaped
By ice storm or children playing on tender limbs

Soon the full canvas will be painted
With all the colors of spring bringing
To mind love and romance of the springtime
A time of sunny days with just enough warmth
Color, aroma, and scent of spring flowers
To fill all hearts with those desires..amore

Spring

The days are warming, the wheat is growing,
Cold winds soon away from us flowing.

The buds are popping all over the trees,
and soon I'm sure will come the bees.

This is my favorite time of year,
for springs warm days are very near.

It's still a little early I know it's true,
But this feeling's so very much like the flu.

I am longing to dig and plant the ground,
But wait I will, until spring comes round!

For many times this fever I've faced
and to the garden shops I race...

Happily planting and feeling so good,
With the next week in snow I stood.

Lessons sometimes are hard to learn,
I think this time I'll wait my turn.

Its beautiful flowers that I want to see,
So hurry up Spring for I have SEEDS!

Love Has No Season

The holidays have come and gone
The ground is white with snow
As fragile tulips sleep beneath
A winter's tundra glow

Our Christmas trees have been replaced
By Valentines of red
We try to face tomorrow's dawn
Without a weather dread

But we have hope that Spring will come
Its God's promise to renew
Our frozen earth and bare-limb trees
With color, tint and hue

I know not when the world will warm
But this I know is true
When spring announces it is here
It renews my love for you

You bring the sunlight with your smile
The lilacs with your touch
And when the grass begins to green
I love you oh so much

You pledged to me a life of joy
No matter what the season
That is why I love you so
I don't need a better reason

Spring Colors

Sun shining on a spring day
Grass spent months under winter’s snow
Reaching for the sky
Hoping for that one last sunbeam
Desiring a moment of warmth
Streams covered with ice
Thaw into distant rivers
Feeding fields as they flow by
Plants and trees spread into life
Showing a beauty hidden by the icy cold
Flowers burst through the ground
Hues and tints not remembered
Brought back to the imagination
Turning empty hillsides into palettes
Painted by brushes created at the start of time
The colors grow and fade
As the time of summer comes and goes
And once again
The beauty and color of life
Hides beneath a white blanket
Waiting for that one moment
For the sun to return on another spring day

Spring Is Near

Spring is a noble season
it's a time of show and tell
nature reveals its majesty
we can sense that all is well.

The trees are turning green again
there's a balmy fresh air breeze
the sounds of Spring can now be heard
from the songbirds in the trees.

There's the sparkle of a babbling brook
sunshine warms the air
the sky is a lovely sapphire-blue
there's beauty everywhere.

A Lilac scent enchants the breeze
with a smell like sweet perfume
our little furry friends appear
other flowers are in bloom.

When Winter's gone and Spring arrives
it's like a great rebirth
with all the lovely sights and sounds
it's like Heaven here on Earth.

"Calendar Caviar"

Windy Winter,
Snowy, chilling cold,
Shivering frosty flakes blow.

Winter runs from Spring peeking back
With childlike eyes, seasons hide and seek.

Showery Spring rains,
Thunder, lightening on window panes,
With patriotic claims to so inflame.

Summer beckons breezes wave,
Vacations in deep warmth enslave,
Autumn delights with changing leaves.

Trees must answer with colors of
Yellow, orange and red; Fall daze.

Nature's Royal Flush,
a potpourri of season's flair,
The shining star, of calendar caviar.

Life Is Like

Life is like a warm summer day;
Full of obstacles and delay.
Like is like a summer past;
No single moment will ever last.
Life is like some winter snows;
It has its high points and its lows.
Life is like a winter sky;
Beautiful, until the day you die.
Life is like an autumn wind;
Chilling you through 'til the end.
Life is like an autumn moon;
Foretelling of something coming soon.
Life is like a spring rain;
Giving you something to gain.
Life is like a spring child;
Always smiling, always wild.
Life is short,
So live it tall
And God will see
You through it all.

Premium Member Spring, Summer At Last

The grasses are green...
and sky is so blue...
true spring can be seen...
in oh! what a view!

The beautiful flowers...
of colors enthrall...
share springtime showers..
from heavens fall..

The trees bear foliage...
the songbirds appear...
singing such knowledge...
of springtime cheer!

The bees come alive...
as flowers hold their heed...
then back to the hive...
with harvested need...

Good weather for days...
of sunshine perchance...
Unless raininess plays..
in vegetative advance...

Such flourishing nature..
lends spring fully cast...
thus nurtures such stature...
for summer at last.
