He had taken a firm stand
To prove that he was a macho man.
He built his body and tightened his abs
To make them look like the bricks on a wall
But with time those abs would fall.
He thought that by building his body
And looking like a macho man
You would love it and understand.
But he did not think to ask or
To see in you, just what you was going through.
You had fallen in love with him for the way he was
Not for the way he wanted to be
But that was something he did not see.
Flaunting his machismo to everyone around
And starting to put everyone down.
Ignoring you and the family
You decided to set him free.
He did not believe that you would part
But you left him with a broken heart.
Stunned and shocked he didn’t know what to do
And people that he knew, turned their backs too.
There was a lesson he had to learn
Respect is not given, it has to be earned.
Apologizing to family and everyone around
His inner spirit he had found.
“Be Yourself” - you have your own personality
And this is what people love, and people see.
Now that your love has re found her man
Her heart you will understand.
At this day and age
Seems people have forgotten what is love
These days, the world is only a stage
Simply a stage for peoples’ worth
He who has it all… has he?
He who has but nothing… has all?
A pitied fool is but a fool pitying to be
Is it a she or simply love to adore?
Perhaps no one I know has the answer
Perhaps not one has even the question
Shrugging off with only a moment lesser
When to hear meant not to simply listen
Money in dominance, people in control
Love well hidden, withdrawal to withhold
Only one and never the other to behold
When money becomes but love’s essential to uphold
This day, this age, this stage
Have people forgotten what is love?
Love to compare for a fool’s wage
Simply a stage for people to be worth
Ya know alot of people talk about
truth, reality, fact, fiction ya know
hypocrites in da church even the
Apostle Paul witnessed these so called
divisions, but my focus, where I shine my
light today is on marriage. Yeah true
God adores it, thinks highly of it and
this here is the perfect topic for discussion
yeah it looks easy when ya see it,
two people deeply in love with each other
best friends turned lovers leaving ya parents
house to live in holy matrimony with each other
Beautiful right?
Aite now hears the grim truth God's always testing
you and the devils always tempting you
so you try to stay strong. Dedication, honor,
respect, loyalty forget special occasions candle
lit dinners whenever to let ya spouse know to
you they're more than royalty, but life ain't easy
let alone marriage it's far from simple. But question?
How hard is it really thru your years of hurt,
to let that special someone know that your willing
to go that extra mile to make it work. How you
gonna stand when you gotta patiently wait for God
when love hurts and it gets too hard. Thru ya worst
time would you still let ya spouse climb into ya mental,
God loves a sanctified Christian but the flame in some
marriages is something most couples really need to rekindle.
So tell me whether good or bad times loyal or dishonest
before you decide to throw in the towel maybe you
should think long and hard about ya promise.
