Premium Member Thinking And Speaking About First Love

Unfortunately, it is an awkward tradition
That most of us have experienced the passion
Of first love, first wink, first hug and first kiss
Which had disturbed our internal peace.

I still remember the first kiss, the first touch
And the first hug after so many years on the couch
Ouch! It hurts to go back to so many years
Where mistakes had turned into serious errors.

However bad love does not exist on this planet
Experience is about trials and tribulations. I bet
Your bottom dollar that nobody is of course exempt.

These days, I rather think about heading forward
Of loving and living innocently like a brilliant nerd
In lieu of being charged haphazardly in contempt.

A Tribute To Victor Buhagiar

He's a gentleman who knows the meaning of grace
he has earned my respect and my great admiration
Bless his beating heart for all the good he has done
through each poem and life story, this poet glows

He delivers life on quilled words of rich tapestry
and he is also cultured in passion and wisdom
Today I honor him for all the love he imparts
this is a tribute to Victor, for he deserves the best

May God keep him strong healthy and sane of mind
and as he lives each day to his utmost capacity
I thank God, for good friends are often hard to find
thank you Victor for your love, friendship, & poems.

Lovingly Dedicated to My Closest Friend, My Mother
My loving friend can caress cares away.
With simple gestures meant to pleasure sway,
She turns my smile upright and firms its stay.
Such kindness meets my same, I do oft pray.

As balm she soothes incurred hurt, ache and pain.
Together, life’s rude battles lose their strain
As handled by our combined wit and brain.
I hope her loving light will never wane.

She matters so much to my fragile heart
That I view her as my dear counterpart.
We sometimes separate, but never part.
I love her laughter, value her brain-smart.

We grow and change like season’s nature hues.
With candor we explore life’s many clues,
And, God knows, we both paid quite hefty dues.
As precious gift, our friendship joys accrue.

What she may need, I pray to aptly grant.
What dims her joy, I strive to best supplant.
What hurts her feelings, I seek to decant.
What her heart wants, becomes my own heart’s chant.

POEM: THE STREET KID

In secret, a tale unfolds
A family bound by tradition's hold
Love and loyalty, a complex test
A story of power, of family nest

A mother's stress, a daughter's fate
A union formed, a future great
Twins born, a legacy to share
A family's rise, with wealth to spare

Businesses boom, a new path's laid
For young ones growing, with futures displayed
Their story's told, in verse and line
A testament to family ties divine

Through trials and strife, they find their way
Through every step, a new day
Their bond is strong, their hearts aflame
A family's love, that knows no shame

Their legacy grows, as they take the stage
A new generation, with a story to engage
Their family's history, a tale so grand
A story woven, hand in hand

A chain of events has lead me to this here and now,
it is a twisted chronicle and woeful history;
but, I will spare you the complete saga of my life.

I have spent part of my journey barren and hallow,
my tears have been full of empty whys and weeping;
grief is a prison- I can affirm and attest to that.

It is amazing that my spirit had a chance to grow,
but, with temerity and recklessness I kept creeping;
in the dark of night unable to sleep I have felt flat.

Yet, I think the overtone of my life is my wow,
the nuance and shadows are all part of the mystery;
I survived- although I have known life's knife.

Somehow, I always find the crevice and the sun's glow,
through a crack in my life the light comes seeping;
an aperture opens for me and I shake off my past.

I have known great love, friendship and too many a foe,
and yes, I do have a proclivity to weeping that I like keeping;
but, in my innermost marrow there is a strength vast.

He Seeks the Right Lady To Love Forever

LOVE IS IN THE AIR
THE LADY SHALL BE
THE ONE AND ONLY WOMAN
HE DREAMS OF A ROMANTIC EVENING
PRESENTED WITH A DIAMOND
KNEELS ON A BENDED KNEE
FLOWERS ARE GIVEN
HE SAYS "WILL YOU MARRY ME"?

SHE REPLIES OH YES,
HE SMILES WITH JOY
LOVE IS GENUINE
FOREVERMORE.

HE HAS FOUND THE ONE
SWEPT OFF OF HIS FEET
THE ONE FOREVER
THEY BOTH SHALL KEEP.

THE TWO ARE AMAZED
LIVING A BLESSED LIFE
BOTH ARE EACH OTHER BEST OF FRIENDS
A FAMILY NEAR THE FUTURE
A LONGTERM MARRIAGE TO BE
HE WAITED, AND SHE WAITED
NOW, THEY BOTH HOLDS THE LOVE KEY.

THEIR HEARTS ARE FULL WITH JOY
SMILES ARE PRESENTED
A HEALTHY MARRIAGE
UNDERSTANDING AND CARING
SHARING THEIR DREAMS
WITH PASSIONATE AND LOVE.

TIMES HAS PASSED ON
EACH DAY HAS GOTTEN BETTER
FOREVER.

CREATED FOR EACH OTHER.

The Songs of Nature

The Songs of Nature:
Music is my only refuge
Expresses the soul of Nature
The mellifluous journey between notes
Lingers in my heart, the silken veil
Drives away the melancholy, music cradles
Soul to Soul, I sing away Nature’s notes

There are too few words
Adequate or meaningful
To describe you right.
But a hundred, thousand songs
Describe you just perfectly.

So many colors on nature’s palette
There are many moods and emotions
Picturesque gallery of many paintings
Forever framed in the travelers mind
Masterpieces cannot be recreated
If we only hold onto black and white
Immerse the soul in nature’s color
Many shades will color the spirit

The songs we sing
Composed in nature’s tune
Don’t ruin it!

Butterflies fluttering around
Canoes moving slowly across the subtle waves
Kids laughing and gawking
Bugs flying
Ducks fighting
Families grilling
Couples holding hands
This is relaxation
This is nature

Humans forget that
Nature is their home too
When they chop it down

We all have to keep believing in love for humanity.
because If we don't have love ,friendship and peace feelings for eachother,
than what do we really have?
The beauty of patience is in letting the sun
rise when it rises and shutting our eyes
when the dusk dawns believing the secrets
of life will come in the wake amidst the
crowing of the roosters.

MY CONFIDANT

Custodian of incessant soliloquies,
Archivist of trivialities disguised as profundities.
Into vaults descend labyrinthine anxieties,
Transmuted into parables of mockery and wit.

Encouragement cloaked in paradox,
Sermon of consolation tinged with ridicule.
Half in million, statistical anomaly,
Ordinariness revealed with exquisite precision.

Treasure precarious as porcelain,
Ovum of existence, fragile, irreplaceable.
Cradled with tremulous reverence,
Specter of irrevocable fracture ever present.

Clandestine tribunal, unlicensed oracle,
Ironic salvation, satiric devotion.
Dependence masquerades as devotion,
Intimacy parades as inevitability.

Indeed she is my Rosemary.

Found Love

FOUND LOVE
She looked for a luscious dark chocolate seahorse
So in our dream reality we only see us
I said, put on your four eyes & peer into the deep.
Your hippocampus! She replies even in her sleep,
Giggling and nicely she squeals
I give her the reassurance of sounds and beats
And this twisted twirl of almond thrilled to bits
Now I see her footsteps greedy for the whole chocolates
My embolden footsteps echoes inside her past tears
As I throw my next steps inside hers like spears
No need now to strive for love or ego
We found love in each other long ago
Because the good path of "friendshipation"
Will probably take you to your destination
Whether you took the first step August or before
Know what you feel and be sure
Strike a cord, pluck good understanding
With each complexity of self notwithstanding
So we ride on waves of caring,
Sharing many times of laughter, joy and tears
Sharing all our smiles, pain and fears
Sharing secrets and mysteries with listening ears
We walked 8 long intense miles to get here
Wait!! Don't analyse the reasons
Love grows in due seasons
We're still learning our lessons
In being worthy & good persons
Now the fisher & the fish entangled in the hook
Oh God I could write a book
What you see of two is not a fluke.

________________________________

poets have existed since antiquity
once troubadours travelling to different places
singing their lyrical poems
the poets of old are found in dusty, tattered old books
their beauty and sorrow fading on pages yellow
they exist in each poem penned
for although they left this earth
the tears and words
and poetry will stay within hearts and souls

no poet lasts forever for time is precious
so, write poems that kiss your flaws, speak of brokenness
poems brave, strong and beautiful

we poets do not die truly
for our words stay behind in books- journals
sheets of paper that in time will curl and yellow
in the memories of those who loved our poems
even in our engraved name in stone
for our name is sacred to a poet
and we are everywhere like in the brightest star
in swaying trees and blooming flowers
in hued wildflowers and the wind
in rippling streams and birds singing in trees
in the rain and filigree snowflakes
in our weeping words that bled from our pens
in our words of love, friendship and family
we will stay always in the written word that never dies

but, we will not last forever for time is precious
so, write poems that kiss your flaws, speak of brokenness
poems brave, strong and beautiful
