This Girl This Boy

This girl was shy
This girl was introverted
This girl was afraid
This girl felt alone most of the time
A few close friends were her saving grace

This boy was active
This boy was wired
This boy was different
This boy felt alone most of the time
God was his saving grace.

This girl played sports
This girl studied hard
This girl made no enemies
This girl loved to write
The pen was her instrument for expression

This boy was awkward
This boy got by
This boy was involved with his church
This boy loved to be on stage
Acting and debate were his means of expression

This girl had dreams
This girl had hopes
This girl had fears
This girl followed her friends to college

This boy had dreams
This boy had hopes
This boy had fears
This boy followed his father into the military

While this girl was coming out of her shell
This boy was learning survival methods
While this girl was exploring dating
This boy was fathering a baby
While this girl was experiencing her first failure
This boy was trying to stay alive in the Persian Gulf

This girl grew into a well-educated, mature, but very lost woman
This boy grew into a well rounded, divorced, military father
Shortly after they met, this woman and man pledged their love for each other

This woman fell in love with this man’s confidence, humor, and sincerity
This man fell in love with this woman’s beauty, compassion, and wit
This woman and this man vowed to spend the rest of their lives together

This man made promises
This woman believed in him
This man made more promises
This woman began to doubt him

This couple communicated well
This couple shared deep truths
This couple was honest with each other,
but not with themselves

This couple had good intentions
This couple loved their family
This couple lived beyond their means
This couple began to perish

This woman had lost her husband
This man had lost his wife
This couple was determined not to lose their friendship
This couple was focused on the happiness and well being of their children

This couple would not simply “go through the motions”
This couple would be honest with each other and themselves
This couple would work as a team for the first time in their lives
This couple would be happy living apart

This couple would always love each other

November 11th

I miss him so much
My friends tell me
It will all pass
That young love
Isn't ever real
That he never treated me right
But they never knew
What I did to him
He himself
Never knew
And never will know
I can't stop dreading these thoughts
I keep saying I don't care
But I do; I really can't stop
When he pushed I pulled
When I pushed he ran
He doesn't want it my way
I don't want it his way
The problem would stay if we do
It's just got to pass
Just give me a break already
There are those days where I forget
I forget what he did to me
Just so I could talk to him
It's pathetic how he used to call me
It's pathetic how I answered
I miss waking up to him
I hate missing him
He deserves a smart girl
A pure girl
An affectionate girl
She's just not me
And I'm all out of time
And I'm all out of motivation
They tell me I deserve the same
But they don't know that side of me
He's all I want
And all I've loved
And all I've truly hated
But this is the end
It's only the end, right?
I don't know how to learn
I don't know how to change
I don't know how to change my ways
I'll just stay here
While he moves on
And forgets all about me
I never am on time
We were young, we were dumb, we were drugged
I still don't wanna do it his way
No way in Hell am I gonna change
I just wanna know
I just wanna watch him go by
So I could finally forget
Oh, wait my phone's ringing
Oh, wait I answer
Oh, wait he's on my porch
Oh, wait he's back
Oh, no
Endless
Endless
Endless

The Ring -Part 2-

A hand touched upon her shoulder, as she turned around in shock, she saw her deceased
Grandma standing there, in her favourite gingham frock.
"I'm here for you, it's time my dear" her grandma softly said, "I could not come to you
before, not until you knew that you were dead"
The girl refused to listen, she could not believe her eyes, any moment now she expected
all her friends to shout 'surprise'!
"Is it true, am I dead? if so how did I die? and why can't I remember? the girl began to cry.
"All in good time" her grandma said, "it's time for us to go, all the answer's that you
seek, you very soon will know"
"No, I can't, how can I? my parents need me bad, just look at both of them right now, I
can't leave mum and dad".
She stepped back, needed time, she must try hard to remember, the last memory that she
recalled, was the 12th day of December.
The morning started normally, breakfast then to her job, lunchtime came, ham salad, on a
sesamee seed cob,
She left the cafe happy, a phone call from her friend, something about an accident, but
she was on the mend.
Oh no it was all coming back, her jealous hateful rage, she had seen her boyfriend with
another girl, she remembered it was Paige.

No Love Lost

You left me Ha!
Off you go
You think I need you
Hit the road
I can find someone else
To walk on my chest
You weren’t that good
You’re certainly not the best

I’ve seen a manikin wearing thong
But on you girl it looked all wrong
Just to let you know your underarms had a serious pong
And I’d rather kiss the likes of King Kong

As for your bra size
I could rent them out as two unfurnished flats
Don’t forget when you leave
To take your witch’s hats
Your brooms ahead of you girl
With my shoes up the ass of your black cat

When you were young you must have been a scary child
buy the way is that hair real makes you look all wild
You call that a weave or was it a perm
Either way it made me squirm
I always knew that I was too good for you
Consider this note expressing that we through

Amnesia

I bet you're laying in the gutter somewhere,
maimed,
calling out my name.

I bet you've lost your mind
trying
to stand
to get back to where I am.

Maybe you caught amnesia
heard its contagious this year;
or were you whisked off to Asia
unwillingly? Cuz I miss you, dear.

Cuz you couldn't have just left,
you couldn't have just gone,
without saying where you went
to the girl you love.

Remember? I'm the girl you love.

I bet you're on the next train.
I bet you're hitching a ride.
I bet your plane was delayed.
I bet you're barely alive...

Swam the desert,
and walked the sea.
Ran til you hurt
just to get to me.

Maybe you caught amnesia...

Corner Shop Chocolates and a Cathedral

This boy bought chocolates from the corner shop
He then picked some roses for his girlfriend,
Placed it in a box with a card on top.
Cause he didn’t have much money to spend.

This girl thought very little of herself
Each night and day she’d think of her boyfriend
She was so scared of being left on the shelf.
And dread that this love would come to an end.

This boy and this girl lasted a few years,
They weren’t kindly towards one another.
Realised was this one girl’s darkest fears
In time they had ceased loving each other.

Knowing her love had been ephemeral
She found sanction in a cathedral
