Anything With a Mother and a Dead Child

now that the casey anthony extravaganza is
over,
the vultures begin to fly round the carcass
wanting in on whatever bit of
rotting meat
is leftover---
anthony is said to make at least $750,000 from
a book deal, while the television & movie industry is
foaming at the
mouth,
eagerly awaiting her release
(actually it doesn’t even matter if she gets released, as she
is free to sign on to any financial endeavor while still behind
bars)---
no one could have put it better than linda konner, a literary
agent in nyc, when she said
“anything with a mother and a dead child tends to attract lots of
attention.”

regardless of how you personally feel about the verdict
(if you care at all),
consider yourself lucky to not be a florida state tax payer,
as due to the fact that anthony was facing the death penalty,
the stakes went up when it came to defending her---
it is estimated that the court trial & all relevant costs, etc.
will sum up to be $4.5 million dollars.

casey anthony’s offer by vivid entertainment,
to make a pornographic film was retracted
by co-chairman, steve hirsch because after seeing the
public’s reaction,
he figured his company could not make money off her
afterall.

now,
consider for a moment those that were weeping, saying that they
lost their faith in the justice system---
better yet,
consider what was happening in the rest of the world over the
weekend besides the anthony case,
like
6,000 inmates in 11 california prisons being on hunger strike
this past weekend because of
“torturous & inhumane conditions”---
or perhaps
the

killed yesterday in a US/NATO airstrike in khost province
(with 8 of the 14 being children) &
then
think about those that felt that they had lost their faith in
the US
justice system---
that same system that is supposed to be soooooooo great
that we are compelled to bring it to other countries
with airstrikes, troops & drones.

alas,
if a young white girl & her dead baby would work as a
formula to draw attention to all of the reasons to lose faith in
the US
justice
system,
we could simply give her photo-ops at all of the afghan operations &
for the prison hunger strike,
have her parade through cali’s prison population
for
starters.

The Storm Is Over Now

"Happiness, where are you? You were here,
but now you're gone." You say this so often
that you feel you can't go on.

You cry yourself to sleep at night. Often
you feel ill. It's okay to cry, don't be
afraid of the way you feel.

There before you is a gun, so you sit and
contemplate. Maybe you should do it. Maybe
it's best that you leave this place.

Now you may be wondering who in this story
this may be. I am speaking of myself...yes,
this poem is about me.

You see, I was so lonely. So often I felt
depressed. I didn't care about life, because
mine was all a mess.

I used to be happy one moment, and then suddenly
wish life was over. I didn't know my condition
then; it was called, bi-polar.

I use to hear these voices...voices in my head.
Doctors wanted to help me, but no was all I said.

You see I was stubborn. I didn't want any help.
I knew I'd defeat this monster, so I tried to do
it myself.

But the voices continued, "You're nothing but
a coward!" They would often whisper, and their
whispers were getting louder.

Call it crazy if you want to, but really I don't
care. Please continue reading, for I'm taking you
somewhere.

I started reading Scripture, believing everything
I read. Faith took over me, resurrecting what was
dead.

One day I became determined. I took control of
life. Said to myself, "I'll win this battle. Think
I'll be alright."

With faith I moved the mountains of depression. I
took back my life. I began to get stronger, it's
then I KNEW I would be alright!

I gave you poems like "How does it feel," and "What
can't kill you" to name a few. I conquered bi-polar
with the mind, giving you the poem, "The winner in
you."

Now some may say that's crazy, "You can't beat
bi-polar with the mind." With enough mustard
seed faith you can do anything I did find!

So don't let anyone tell you what you can and
cannot do. If no one else will stand by you, I'll
be there, I believe in you!

So here I am now today. I made it someway somehow.
Peace I found within my life, the storm is over now.

you can achieve."

Faith - Hope - Love

I took a walk with my best friend,
just the other night.
We expressed our different points of view
on things we thought weren't right.

We discussed a lot of problems.
Our opinions very strong,
in regard to indiscretions
and other things we felt were wrong.

We agreed that there were challenges
that we must overcome.
We're often faced with stumbling blocks
that could leave us feeling numb.

Sometimes if there's an obstacle
that we must rise above,
it could become a stepping stone
if we trust in faith and love!

We know anger doesn't solve a thing.
Stress can drag you down.
But love can open up the door
and faith and hope can bring you round.

Many things can cause duress
and make you feel some pain.
When you hit rock bottom,
love can bring you back again.

So here's what we concluded,
my best friend and I.
Although we're in our Golden years
and life has passed us by!

You younger folks, when times get hard,
the inspiration that you need,
will come from faith, and hope, and love,
which will help you to succeed!

Premium Member Keep the Faith

Sometimes we all have to try something new,
But we're so afraid to fail if once we only try,
That's when we need to have a bucket full of Faith,
You need to keep the Faith all the time, do you know?

Without Faith and Hope what are you going to do, I wonder,
There are times when we could lose everything we own you see,
It's possible to lose your health, and the people that you love,
And all your material possessions, your credit cards, your money, your home...

When your world goes upside down like a ship in the night,
That's when you need to find and to hang on to your Faith,
Sometimes you need a new start but you're so afraid to try,
I know sometimes there's no way to know if they will be right or wrong

Till you get the courage to do it one way or the other by tomorrow or now,
Pray and trust in God.Have Faith! He'll be there with you no matter what,I just know!

Tomorrow

The day that will rise tomorrow,
In happiness, misery or sorrow.
With the whispers of faith may I face it with courage!
Either in peace, pain, shock or rage!
Be as quiet as a sea rock:
As merry as a cuckoo-
Ever in red, black or blue.
Let thy words harmonise someone,
Who is in melancholy left alone.
May you serve the poor and broken ones,
The emaciated, depressed and destitute.
Where no whispers of faith is preached
sublime, soft and sweet flute like promises be reached.
Where the fear of death, disaster or danger,
Your whispers of faith be a peaceful, profound prayer.
Be an instrument of healing in this world of suffering and pain.
May ever never your striving efforts go in vain.
May the day, that will rise tomorrow
In happiness, misery or sorrow.
By the whispers of faith
The chariot of your life move.
Smoothly as a boat on a tranquil lake!
