Thank You for teaching me Your statutes

When you are getting old with short future,
It seems shocking to admit ruthless truth :
Youth bade bye and life is not running smooth.
Physical limitations you captured.
Each moment will remind ' Your time is up !'
Lots of activities are left undone.
Days are passing dull without any fun.
Next generation not to fill your cup.
Achievements, involvements went obsolete.
Once you showed light on path of your children.
Now lost importance being turned burden.
Are you becoming old fool ? Most unfit !
I am a real scaredy cat
and there's absolutely nothing that
I could do about that.
I'm scared of 'roaches
I'm scared of rats
I'm scared of spiders
and afraid of bats
I fear all arachnids
and I fear those gnats
Oh I fear all the kinds I find
of those creepy crawly brats!
And but what can I do about that?
Huh and who woudn't fear
a midnight rat-a-tat?
So I've resigned myself to being
a lifelong scaredy cat.
Yeah and I'm scared of heights
Scared of noises at night
Gah, I'm really quick to fright!
I'm scared of grasshoppers and even of dogs
Gosh there's hardly a thing that I ain't scared of.
But I admit I am a timid tigress
otherwise I'm a harmless human who don't hurt a fly
Normally just a normal lady, a humble poetess
I attack only when provoked to the limits
so as I'm a cat after all
I do show my tiger claws if the situation demands
or else I don't mind chickening out
of aggressive and foolhardy involvements.
And maybe if everybody was a coward like me
they wouldn't hurt each other with sheer brutality.
I guess for ladies it's not so bad to be
a bit more cowardly
In any case that's far better than being
a ruffian who's dastardly!
And oh, lastly but not the least
ah yes, I also greatly fear
any lustful male leer
I'd rather I'm invisible to their view
So I really find huge refuge
in the dear divine idea that exhorts me to
to drape and wrap myself from top to toe
in flowing garbs when I step outdoors
and that veiling attire does make me brave
as I feel vulnerable no more
and that's when I feel the transformation from lil kitty
into the big cats
from scaredy cat to formidable tigress
and that's when for once there's NOTHING I fear anymore! :)
as I go out veiled in soft armour from top to toe.
And I feel I can face the chauvinistic foe

HEART THAT DECLARES “THE LORD BE MY GOD”
“The Lord be my God” is what our heart declares with His grace verily well
Since He is bringing us up after we failed and fell
Especially in drawing us out from the fires of hell
For us to enjoy His blessings, and Your mercy to others tell.
“The Lord be my God” is what our heart declares with His goodness
Since He is standing by us upon His righteousness
Especially in welcoming us toward His altar of prayerfulness
For us to experience His peace and joyfulness.
“The Lord be my God” is what our heart declares with His prosperity
Since He is satisfying us with His provisions against poverty
Especially in loving us despite our insufficiency and incapacity
For us to follow His ways along His security.
“The Lord be my God” is what our heart declares midst sin-caused fainting
Since He is dealing well with us by His forgiveness in our humble repenting
Especially in responding to us in our earnest entreating
For us to stay in His plan and perform our oath with His covenant-setting.

Digging into and detecting deep roots gives me a thrill.
Though raking up the foregone quarrels is a tiresome drill,
Values I have lost in the name of modernization,
Traditions that, like ancient hills, succumbed to damnation...
Should threads of exuberant cultures be quickly broken?
Isn't repristination an existential token?
These broken vessels of my ancestors... these torn garments,
Each has its fingerprints of involvements and debarments.
Would the spirit hovering around these yet be chased out?
Don't these cups that touched their lips have an endless silhouette?
Each rusted shoe of lost horses has tall tales to tell.
Of curses of petty kingdoms and kings, that, on them fell...
The processes and procedures of progress proceed fast.
Changes, as though perpetually changeless, seem to last.
Temples, mosques, churches, synagogues, Jinjas—what else is left?
Towers, bridges, forts, ramparts, glamorously cleaving clefts
Quality and quantity have, now, quickly shaken hands.
Don't, yet, covertly clouded hopes construct castles on sands...
Thick layers of dust and dirt constrict entire peripheries,
of principles of pristine prophetic epiphanies;
These should be removed! Truths, like the galaxies, should brightly shine.
May past foundations pave fraternal paths for a sacred shrine;
May virtues, values, and visions fill the veins of the past,
Flow flawlessly through blood vessels, cells, and the heart at last!

Everything can be possible by God’s omnipotence, always right
Anything, yes, through faith in Him brings delight
Nothing is too hard along His truth and might
Something simple by His grace becomes beauty of wondrous sight.
Everybody enjoys good moments
Anybody as well welcomes blessed engagements
Nobody does not like to plunge into discouragements
Somebody must wisely usher others to meaningful involvements.
Everyone regards life as the Creator’s gift of goodness-leisure
Anyone acknowledges its price --- precious treasure
No one denies its value for the Almighty’s pleasure
Someone ought to be reminded of its worth that’s beyond measure.
Everywhere can be a place to share God’s love and mercy
Anywhere indeed with His guidance-fervency
Nowhere should I go against His safety’s constancy
Somewhere is my willing heart where He reigns as Supreme Excellency.

In our country’s
calendar of events
September is replete with
pursuits worth enumerating
reminding me to bask in meaningful
involvements, optimizing God-granted strength
midst pressure, propelled by blissful functionality.
With well-being focus…
I learned that September 16-22
is Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week,
thus, my schedule seeks for appropriate
on-line seminars for the sake of our special child.
As to educational endeavours
Sports Heroes Day was celebrated
on the 10th, while all virtual classes for
Academic Year 2021-2022 did start last 13
along festivities like Family Thanksgiving Day.
Then birthdays and anniversaries
of loved ones radiate with greetings...
thus, fellowships abound, although compliance
to social distancing and health protocols is practiced.
Topping these all, September
commences Christmas celebration…
now, here am I preparing for my teaching
engagement, grateful to God for opportunities
to do* my life-building roles, with joy and diligence.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Life is not a continuous function,
but holds discrete chapters
to be closed at different times on journey of life.
Carefree childhood terminates
alarming to get prepared
to lead life on self confidence.
Bubbling vibrant youth : Most alluring period
to fulfill ambitions, dreaming and dreaming.
Aspiring chapter offering opportunity
of activities in broad spectrum at random.
Onwards start struggling taking life as a Challenge.
Career, Family, Responsibilities, Duties are embowered.
Success to access, Failure to endure
Love, Betrayal, Happiness, Sorrow appear in series.
Inevitable last phase shows
Achievements, Emotional Involvements
turning obsolete, seeming Life to be meaningless,
only to wait for last call to reach the ultimate end of Life.

Midst prayerlessness along worldliness’ friendship.
Thank You for exposing my error of impure motives
By Your sanctifying directives
To straighten me toward holy prerogatives
Midst poverty along discontentment’s alternatives.
Thank You for exposing my error of shallow devotion
By Your empowering salvation
To transform me toward genuine dedication
Midst preferences along doubts’ confusion.
Thank You for exposing my error of subtle hypocrisy
By Your enlightening mercy
To illumine me toward sincere fervency
Midst pride along complacency’s deficiency.
Thank You for exposing my error of worthless engagements
By Your fulfilling involvements
