There seems to be
a reason for it all
The call
for everything unexplained
explained
Icymi
It was a game
To await
The fate
Of one side
Or the other
Calling your name

In fact
They didn’t really
choose you at all
did they
Nor you them

The uneasy peace extends

And btw
Thanks for the genetics
The DNA
Mechanics of
The blueprints of life
Now
I am tasked to
Overcome
And
pass along
some better
unfettered concern
as yet

I don’t know anymore…
There’s so much love in store
I don’t think straight no more
You’re the one I adore…
I don’t know anymore…
In my heart, I swore…
You’d never hurt me, but what for?
You kept score on me — I don’t want what’s on the floor
I am a shimmering shore
I am a river stone all the more
I’ll let my eyes pour
Forth water as I see you shut the door
Your eyes are a corridor
My lies lie awake like a tourist, going through a tour
I am a lion’s roar…but what for? What for?
My love for you is a war
My wings are sore as I soar
All the more, all the more
You tore up a love in store
Torn up and forlorn — you tore
Your way inside me, but you’re —
You’re my love boat, left ashore
My rain will surely pour…
As I left you my sword of gore
Explore…
Implore…
Your way out of here or…
I don’t mean to be a bore
I am not a phone ring to ignore
I just want you back here some more
But what for? What for? I’m but a snore…
Not your frosted, roasted s’more
I wore my welcome thin — I swore
I don’t know anymore,
But I know you to the core
Idk how to say this but here it is
I don’t want to pressure you by always complaining but I feel like I didn’t say it right last time and I didn’t explain it right so my feelings were simply brushed off and smoothed over
I feel lonely and distant from you the past month or so. Not distant as in not talking much distant as In It feels like a friendship and less romantic
No I’m not friend zoning you I just remember how I felt when you used to call me pretty and beautiful so often and how we would joke about our first kiss but now there’s none of that
We do ask each other those questions some but when I ask you questions your just scrolling or half paying attention
When I made the initiative to ask about hanging out I felt annoying and like a bother due to your lack of interest in spending time together
I know it’s your choice but when you said you didn’t feel like going to church camp it hurt because I would jump at the opportunity to spend even just an hour with you
I’m sorry for dumping all my feelings in your like this and maybe I’m a stubborn overthinker but I’ve been thinking over this a lot. I have cried many nights because I’m scared to lose what’s left of your affection and I have this weight in my chest that was supposed to be lifted by loving you but not the burden is from being scared that you don’t care anymore. When we first started dating and texting I saw the world through gold colored lenses for the first time in a long time but now I see everything in greige again
I thought your love would feel like relief and it did for awhile but now the love itself is confused with the unresiding fear of losing it.
Glorious to see, this and that of thee
Who bore an abode that bade thee serendipitous surrender
Bleating buoyant blasphemy
At this gaudy fawn’s abstaining disdain
Jubilant joy, jested in a jester-like display,
Laughed here, hence it laughed!
Bellowing above its blistering breath, blooms of
booming, belting, boisterous blunder from its capacious chest bare of hair
And of which it wore, it bore a semblance, a raw resemblance,
To the evergreen presence it exuded into th’air.
Ye who had now scorched thee with the exuberant heat
Of its tendered eye.
This warmth not of the East, may tender,
Hence solder on,
A spring-time in the haggard winter o’thy life.
Open arms of ye open heart
Sincerely seized thy deducing induced despair
Reticently reproached, for I shall approach to encroach
In ye haze of heat, acclimated in and of
an easy state, free as its genial face.
Laugh’d here, hence it shall laugh hereafter,
Cherry cheek’d and cloaked by the soak of an enriched steam
Descending dereliction, for its sight but grew in animosity, indeed.
this broadened girth hath beckon thee
with a-faced geniality, aghast with a grassy grin of glee
So taketh thee, foresaketh thee
Disassimilate every systematic present, past participle.
Vice of visceral invulnerability,
before mine own frost’d eyes.
There shall be,
None graver than of what gravy may spill,
From the spoils of mine loins,
Whence ye shall finish, with thee.
