A drunk driver plowed right into the back of me as I sat at a red light.
My life flashed before my eyes as I watched numerous cars filled with giddy teenagers passing by.
Confused and in pain I wondered where all these youngsters were going.
Turns out they were headed to homecoming and the drunk driver that hit me was going to the same homecoming to see her daughter perform in the band.
The moment I realized this I was honored and glad she hit me instead of one of those unsuspecting, innocent, precious teens with their whole life ahead of them. I proudly accepted the pain and endured multiple chiropractor visits.
She was so drunk that an accident was unavoidable. I'm just glad a drunk driver hit me and didn't ruin the life of one of those beautiful kids. One might call it Divine Intervention and I would have to agree. Don't Drink and Drive!!!
In twenty twenty- three, no rocking chair for me, I am going biking with a big yellow bee.
I am now free, a trip so the world I can see, let's go and try to ski.
Cleaning out old things with glee, making room for boxes of new tea, brings me freedom by the sea.

Wars follow in the footsteps of men.
Our history shows us the true nature and true meaning of war.
Always denying the truths of what we pretend.
The savage of man is the blood flowing to the beating the heart of war.
Battles raged, laying landscapes of the dead. Wars over centuries galore.
Invasions, tyrants, fascists all evil men always desire to use the power and mechanics of war.
Science won the game, blunt the sword and erased the scribbles of the pen. Creating unnatural power we can’t yet comprehend. Power we now use as a deterrent to war.
When it starts, it’s all over and there’ll never be an us again.
Quite simply put - humanity will destroy itself with nuclear war.
Twice parliament asked the people,
Twice the answer was loud and clear from the people,
Twice there was a no to Euthanasia by the people.
Twice I joined the people in Select committee,
Twice I joined the people to give up time for free,
Twice parliament summed its nose at democracy.
Twice the parliament misled the majority of people,
Twice they bowed to the minority of people,
Twice they denied democracy to the majority of the people.
Thrice now replaced twice as now there appeared a private members bill,
Thrice now those who had said no in select committees, felt ill,
Thrice parliament asked democracy to write a will.
Thrice democracy almost died,
Thrice now has changed to four with an election eyed,
Thrice that is now four will the future of democracy decide.
Now the people for or against will have their say,
Now the people for or against will have to say yay or nay,
Now the people for or against will chose if Pandora will come in to play,
Now the people for or against will chose if her box will be put away,
Now the people for or against will chose if the lid is shut for another day.
Now that covid 19 has come along,
Now is the the time for those who were for, to say they were wrong,
Now as they look for they, who are gone,
Now is the time when democracy needs to remain strong.
Now is the time for parliament to be bold,
Now is the time for a threshold,
Now is not the time for a minority to put the majority out in the cold,
Now is the time when the will to live through pain, is a sight to behold,
Now is the time to welcome democracy back into the fold,
Now is the time for pandora and her box to gather more mould.
I never knew love could hit me like this it hit me hard like a ton of bricks i wasn't expecting it

tugs on my heart with the invisible string you found i feel its pull when your not around
together we are bound by loves invisible string you found
Form:
my husband rushes to warn me about the storm coming
I already know! The dogs and I have run outside.
My arms are outspread. I am dancing; they are jumping, excited.
drops of cold rain are coming down into my eyes,
because my head is raised, my mouth is open.
a storm! I scream to my husband! A real storm!
I begin to twirl; arms outstretched.
My dogs are wimps; they run to the porch.
Hiding behind Daddy as I dance and swirl myself.
“You will get hit by lightning!” he warns me.
I do not care. I love a storm; I defy lightning to get me.
There is always a fresh feeling in the air after a true storm.
I cannot wait for God to replenish us with his wrath.
Let me reveal my hit list meditations in Acrostic:
Hatred ... can they be subdued with love?
Inimical conflicts... must they be resolved with peace?
Threats against security... will they be avoided through respect?
Love... can surely vanquish terrorism
Interest of many... must prevail over selfishness
Safety... will ensure prosperity
Thanksgiving... does cultivate appreciation!
Let me express my love-hit quatrain:
Precious love* divine ceaselessly prevails
Freeing heart from sin-caused damnation pain
Since the Saviour’s ardent care never fails
Offering life eternal midst faith gain.
Warmed by God’s presence of secured embrace
My spirit does glow, exuding sweet bliss
Grateful for His wondrous fellowship grace
Midst heavenly caress and pardon’s kiss.
Sublime compassion igniting my soul
Keeps me blest as to the Lord I draw nigh
For revival fire in reaching-out goal
While singing hymns of jubilant hope’s fly.
*1John 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

I got hit by a car.
My daughter's worst nightmare by far.
She saw me get hit and then watched me flip,
As I rolled to a stop all ajar.
Many folks ran to my aide.
They told her to not be afraid.
They called 911 for medics, first aide,
And said, "Just wait here by the car."
I'm healing quite nicely now.
Off work for a week was allowed.
There are no broken bones, they said to go home,
Take my meds, just relax and lay down.
Deep bruises seems all that I got.
My back, sides and arms hurt a lot.
I'm on muscle relaxants cause moving is taxin',
But I'm tough and a sissy I'm not.
(i can do this. yes i can)
It was mid-summer,
evening league cricket.
Fifty years fade from view
they’ve labelled it
Twenty-Twenty and think
of it as something new.
We batted first,and scored
a few;I placed my bat
in the crease.A bowler
more than a batsman,
I took guard.
Giving it a clout, to leg,
a richoctet split my
top lip and smashed
two front teeth so I
quickly retired,not out
Twenty-four hours passes
my lip stitched, two crooked
teeth removed from sore
gums, learning as well,
we lost by five runs.
With a few weeks a plate
fitted with two new teeth.
Each night now I smile;
sometimes one split second
will improve a profile
Talking sweetly, we walked slowly
Then you hit me in the back
Like a boulder I was rolling
Down the hill and down the track
That’s the friendship I’ve beknown
Still a great surprise to me
When too close I come along
Then you strongly disagree
There is no way to predict it
Was it an instinctive act
So I must have been inflicted
At the moment just like that
You can think about time stolen
Time you saved and time you own
You can see the leaves keep falling
Whirling down on your lawn
But you wouldn’t see me there
And my voice you wouldn’t hear
No one comes with news to share
No one says how are you, dear?
You can smile and feel aloof
Later, at another moment
Will you think of what was proved
By the love and sheer adorement?
