You better pay heed to the Devil and give the man his dues
He's been around a long time now he's even made the news
Iraq, Iran, Vietnam, you name it He's been there
Katrina came in waves of pain and stripped the naked bare

Global warming, new age dawning He holds all the aces
He forms the plans of presidents, his form takes many faces
His truths are lies, unholy ties, to satiate the thirst
You'll run his race of greed an' hate and God knows He'll come first

The Reich had flown His colours, Genghis rode His steed
On Jesus flesh the cat did flail an' left His soul to bleed
A crown of thorns or Satans horns is the choice that's laid upon us
His trick is to remain unseen, as He daily walks among us

His numbers rise among us 18 and 666
They gather at the meeting place, to score the Devils fix
A house of white, a heart of black, power no one man should hold
The jury sits in chamber, shall mankind be forced to fold

Oh Tiber, father Tiber, to whom the romans pray
A child of light sits balanced on the scales of dark decay
The clarity of reason lies drowning in your sea
As nations gather armies "IN JOYOUS RAPTURE HE"

From dawn of time 'til present day, religious cradles shook
"Under every rock you'll find me" If you care to look
"Not in my name" Jesus cries as they squeeze His tortured soul
While at His feet the Devil holds his bloodstained, begging bowl

What is next? What remains, of the scraps from the Jackals table
Can Christ redeem us, or the Devil claim us, or is love indeed a fable
The moon is full, the tide is high, the wolves they walk among us
The innocent scream "The End Is Nigh" As the vultures prey upon us

Hells Angel

Hells Angel
We talked a bit like two similar beings for eye was drunk
and justifying it badly he was not unkind to me if not fully truthful it is just their way
he had his identification card and pulled it from his wallet as eye gave him two
dollars he was inclined to talk so eye told him my troubles it is not wrong to get
delivered from trouble no matter sometimes where it may come from a boy who
was very much wasted had troubled and threatened me and eye had a new
found friend so listen as eye bend ewe ear and his was a motor car like a Ford or
a Buick his trunk would not close he had very nice clothes on his boots what a
shine and he showed me his Driver’s License with the Hells Angel LOGO the
Chapter and Verse of his Chapter. He was fingering his knife in his hand to
make sure it was sharp as eye noticed it he grinned. That day of my life eye was
scared for eye thought it was the end of my life. He seemed sorry to see me
leave a little like a bad B version of a best friend.
He sent the speed freak a reproach for bothering me
And eye never told no one this story
Eye knoe what they mean.
When they say there is the Devil to pay?
That poor boy is not troubling no old man today.

The Tone In Her Voice

The tone in her voice told me I had gone to far,
the tear down her cheek another scar
inflicted upon an already bruised loving heart.

The look in her eyes cause me to shudder,
the clench of her jaw arouses a twitch of her lip,
to quell and dissipate words she would love to spew,
but will not,
instead, scream into deep recesses of her brain.

The stoop of her shoulders, hands balled into fists drilled into her waist
with legs spread taunt,
all positive signs to find an escape route.

As I turn and crawl away I hear her say,
if you were not a baby, there would be the devil to pay.

There was not anything I could say,
at nine months,
language was scheduled for another day,
so I just went about my way,
next time I see mom, she will give me a hug, everything again okay.

Until the next time.

Ole' Waylon

"I don't think Hank done it this way"
You snarled and growled your essay
Your show was a rebel's ballet
But you had that old devil to pay
Ole' Waylon was a true outlaw hero

Fed up with that same old tired scene
You raged at the Nashville regime
Oozing with marvelous gangrene
Howlin' "Lonesome, Ornery and Mean"
Ole' Waylon was a true outlaw hero

Sizzlin' like hot Texas chili
Singin' "Good Hearted Woman" with Willie
Gettin' high and acting plumb silly
Two crazy old Texas hillbillies
Ole' Waylon was a true outlaw hero

Saluting Bob Wills as the King
'Faded Love" those fiddles would sing
Don't worry about one dog-gone thing!
Sing it proud and let the bells ring!
Ole' Waylon was a true outlaw hero

* Christians have voted to make things legal,
while in their hearts knew it wasn’t right.
God’s eye is sharper than that of an eagle,
meaning nothing exists beyond His sight.

For extra tax dollars many have cast a vote,
thinking that to schools it will find its way.
While some school systems fight to stay afloat,
once more we discover “it’s the devil to pay.”

“Always remember that there is nothing secret that shall not be made manifest. even your secret sin will locate you out one way or the other. “

*Numbers 32:23(KJV)
“But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.”

Daddy Is Drunk Again

Cover your head, close your ears
Don’t listen to that voice
He’s drunk once again
Since drinking is by choice
If you can’t see him
Maybe it’s a whipping you’ll save
Stay still, don’t move
The liquors made him a slave
Hear those glasses? Yes, they’re breaking
But don’t cry, don’t even move
Maybe he’ll get sleepy
Then the night might improve
I know you are shaking
And I know you want to cry
But please don’t whimper
And we might just slide by
Is that him snoring?
Lord I hope so
But stay real quite
Cause we really don’t know
We young’uns can’t be talking
Or it’s the devil to pay
Let’s pray daddy has passed out
And won’t wake until day

Premium Member I Keep My Eyes Open

I have my red electric blanket, a real joy.
My husband has his baby mattress frog
Kitty has her fluffy big-eyed baby toy.
A stuffed headless tiger is comfort to our dog.

Supper fed and comfortable, we live our life our way.
We curl up in our spots, in front of the television set.
Kitty keeps her baby close at hand, but what can I say?
Now there is another headless animal thanks to Big Gray.

Big Gray is a puppy, and a professional chewer for sure.
He does not understand boundaries, but his heart is pure.
If he goes after Kitty’s baby, there will be the devil to pay.
So, I keep my eyes open, whenever Big Gray heads that way.

Eat My Dust, Punk

Eat My Dust, Punk

By Elton Camp

Gran had her kids raised and mortgage paid
And so figured it was time that she played

From the car dealer, she a bought a big V8
It had 400 horsepower and surely ran great

If anybody happened to get in Gran’s way,
Then there was gonna be the devil to pay

If, on the Interstate, anyone attempted to pass,
Gran stomped her foot firmly on the gas

And when she was stopped at a traffic light
Try to outrun her and you’d be in for a fight

She jammed the accelerator to the floor
And her big motor gave off a loud roar

“Eat my Dust, Punk,” is what she yelled
As drag racer, Gran couldn’t be excelled
