There's a looming gap between head and heart
Or we may say between ego and soul,
With the former focused on mind-body
And the latter being God’s light within.
Love alone can transcend this yawning gap,
By building a bridge both tender and firm,
Invoking the power of innocence,
Blurring boundaries with magnetism warm.
When we pay homage by bending down low,
We are in effect, simply letting go
Of our wayward and delusional mind,
Choosing to walk upon the bridge of love.
Thus descent is actually ascent,
For when love’s the fulcrum of consciousness,
we see God within the cave of our heart,
Awaiting our childlike, joyful embrace.

The sky is gray
The blue reflection from the ocean is hiding today
The rain that would be falling from the clouds above, is not wet but more a white gray dust
Each piece drops just like snow, but they are not formed as flakes
That fall with grace, No
They are in shapes of broken hearts from the ones who watched their valuables burn and depart
And playing in puddles with ashes is depressing and so very sad
Especially when you know someone's life has changed and you can't do much but pray
And try not to feel so bad
No smiles are worn when walking under the clouds that mask the sun
Removing surrounding oxygen suffocating life without reason
I feel sadness for the lives this ball of flame reorganized they were just living and here comes an uncomforting comforter , thick with flames that paralyze
No regard for the people in those places just living life, it burns whatever it touches doesn't show mercy Or love
Just takes until it decides when it’s done
Innocent men and women
At war with embers and flames
Fighting this war against a firewall of flames
That the wind antagonizes to grow with great strength
Seems a delusional game these brave humans
play
When battling fires that have no empathy
What is it about us and our kind
Quietly sitting there
Not calling out the bullies
The liars the cheats the fake
Taking it passively from that
Whole class of degenerates
We’re just interested in being happy
In our little world of art and whimsy
We don’t have it in us to push back
Be it thick-skinned politeness or
Delusional optimism on our part
Is it anything less than our way
Of nodding sheepishly heads in approval
Not daring to retaliate and take a stand
For fear of speaking out of turn
Is it just our way of perpetuating
The bloodline of victims
Of pushovers and doormats
For fear of getting involved
Wallflowers not wanting to stir the pot
We want to carry on in fantasyland
Where lighthearted our type treads
Believing life can and should be fair
With everyone wanting to live in harmony
In our little world everyone gets along

A woman quite delusional
Believes, beyond the pale,
Obama and her dad were friends
And yes, she went to Yale.
Her son’s employed at Apple
Though he’s only twelve years old
And she’s so convincing when she talks,
Some listeners are sold.
She’s flying to D.C. today
For meetings to attend
As a video consultant;
Oh, the stories never end.
Though looking normal, it is clear
Her mind is not quite right
And if any would dare challenge her,
She’s ready for a fight.
Delusions keep some going,
Though I’ll never understand
How they reach the point reality’s
So far from their command.
What am I to you? Hold on to my heart…
Take me out of evilness….oooh…. I’m so confused…
You splinter my heart…
You splinter my heart…
Hmmm….hmmm…
Mend my heart…I’m a bit delusional…
You splinter my heart…
You splinter my heart…
You’re my piece of gorgeous art
I can see your eye look straight through me
I fell too hard on my own seat…
Open wide your eyes…and sing with me…
Ohhh….oohh…oohhh…ohhhh…
What am I supposed to do?
You splinter my heart…
You splinter my heart…
You’re my piece of gorgeous art
I can see your eye look straight through me
It could be wrong, but it feels good…to me…
You splinter my heart…
You splinter heart…
You’re my piece of gorgeous art
I can see your eye look straight through me
I drove you too far in the road…
You are my delightful abode
Eyes stare straight at me…
Friends left me on the street, all alone
I can see the night sky…I can’t see a bright day
I grab a hold of you, but you’re too busy…
Girl, I’ll get you some day
You splinter my heart…
You splinter my heart…
You’re my piece of gorgeous art
I can see your eye look straight through me
Please heal my splintered heart of mine…
You splinter my heart…
You splinter my heart…
You’re my piece of gorgeous art
I can see your eye look straight through me
You splinter my heart…
You splinter my heart…
You’re my piece of gorgeous art
I can see your eye…and I depart from evil…
You splintered my heart, buddy
You are the waves of the sea…
Oops, my splintered heart…
Oops, their splintered hearts
Bleed…

Will I grieve you, only if you grieve me
Said you couldn’t rest
So I lay in this casket with you
A bouquet in a basket, why risk the truth
Delusional I may be
A happy ending, a sympathetic conclusion
Is something we’d pay to see
Cross your arms and lay with me
The aspects it’s okay to be
You or me, whom shall we grieve
There are certain things I need from you
Like we feed
There are pertinent things I need you to do
As we grow to be adults
We simply do what needs to be done
Across from the morgue
Smiling faces soaked in with the sun
Outside these walls of Berlin
Suited individuals call for her sins
Will you grieve me, only if I grieve you
Through the many hours of this day
Tragic circumstances flower our May
In a declining sun set it reflects from my window pane
A metaphor of my life lived in feign
As if I demand that you be my friend
Take this childs hand to the end
Down those spiral steps
Admire the depths of a single breath
Your or me, whom shall we grieve?
A mother dropped her bags to comfort her daughter
On and on through the years she brought her
These missing links of murder
Kissing a stench never before heard of
Full of bars, cool as scars
Precious jewels of mars
Like I lost my tongue
I’ll start a thousand wars
For I will not be forgotten!!!
There is nothing to write about she Prue whined
My reaction to this is not keenly kind
What if that sewing box fell on your head?
What if you died of fright, stone-cold and dead?
She looked at me like I was a weirdo or goon
What if six spaceships dropped away from the moon?
Now I’m on a roll and cannot quit
Loving the reaction of this shocked little nitwit
What if a komodo dragon bit your arm?
Her face has turned purple pink with alarm
The what if’s help me write, I say
She has not written one word by the end of the day
though she claims a writer is who she wants to be
Her imagination is stonewalled by herself, her worst enemy
I am a writer she tells everyone who is brand new
I roll my eyes at my delusional cousin, Prue.
we’re looking for something
intimate and immediate
but we know not what it is
leaving us feeling incomplete
we ourselves are that who we seek
but the illusionary seeker must die
for that who we truly are to shine forth
and therefore we resist
there is no one else here
the struggle is imaginary
for we have created identity
but are now loathe to relinquish it
fortunately there is a simple way
to resolve this delusional impasse
simply by ceasing flow of thought
and dwelling in tranquil inner silence
ego fades and soul’s light is revealed
in as it was always there but veiled
it is this that is made in image of God
it is this who we are ~ living light

The tragedy is...
when one finds himself alone,
relying on dreams that die before they are being born;
seasons renew themselves, his hasty years can't otherwise!
Love gently strokes with indelible joy the portrait of happy faces,
and its colors blend in to immortalize those realistic images:
by placing roses in the hands of an elegant lady;
grant her lifetime' wish, love her with dignity!
The tragedy is...
having a lot to say, but afraid to speak words,
all the while she awaited your approval of indecisive lover;
constantly checking the mail-box for another letter!
Showers of confetti swirling in the festive air so delusional...
is a parade of an urealized thought to attract the trivial imagination,
see reality as it is: earn trust by being more caring and lovable;
fulfill her needs, and she will satisfy yours with true intention!
The tragedy is...
most men wait for that opportunity to open up,
to reveal the sensitive side of the their fearful and silent heart;
and keeping affection from their women, can cost them much happiness!
