The coming of spring is just a few days away
That glorious time of the year
When the world awakes from it's long winter's slumber
To once again bring joy to all living things
Reborn is the feeling we humans anticipate
A renewed interest in the great glorious outdoors
After too many months of hibernation
We're free once again to explore nature in all its glory
Oh what a feeling!
Every year, this old Earth is reborn
Experiencing the joy again for the very first time
So throw off winter's cloak
Breathe in that exquisite scent
Of the first daffodils, tulips and crocuses
And enjoy love and life to the fullest!

The shy Moon dims her silver to sleep
Bored of wishes from chattering Stars
She nods off into the dawn glimpsing
The handsomeness of the morning Sun
As twilight breaks the Moon's dreams
She awakes from the warmth of the Sun
The mighty yellow sphere bows into the sea
The Moon glows pining for the glorious Sun
Twinkle blinking and mean-full winking
Those pestering Stars laugh out loud
And mock the Moon to break
Into her crescent shape and blue shade
The Moon closes her eyes waning away
Wishing for dawn just to glance
At her beautiful prince of light
Shining with rays of brightness
Whispering Stars secrets dim into day
Their rhythm of rhyme reaches the Sun
Curious he becomes of the Moon
Does she really love me?
A wave of warmth covers the Moon
She peers into the light to see
The smiling face of the mighty Sun
She awakes new and full
The busy Earth looks up
Two celestial bodies embrace
The Moon eclipses the Sun
And blocks his light from sight
The full Moon shines her silver
Bouncing off waves she smiles
Stars blink and twinkle quietly
The Earth hushes round and round
As dawn breaks the Sun waves
And the Moon bows way for day
They have their moments to be
Those silly stars blush silently.
When the moon waves goodbye and disappears from sight When the bright and morning star says hello to the light When the night, just before the dawn, has reached its darkest, Like an ocean wave rushing to the shore from afar, it halts by design The night yields to the light because it has been commissioned by its Creator who so ordered the morning to execute His decree.
When the massive sun awakes and begins its ascent in the eastern sky When the night has run its course and applies the petals of its brakes When the light has awaited its turn to break the silence of the night When time can no longer delay its dictates for the entry of sound
And when our blessed sensory organs burst into action Its because the morning has spoken.

When the tender dawn awakes
I sit on the crossroads of life
A basket full of daffodils
And a song bird by my side
My gypsy blood sings
Giving me golden wings
Across the mountain I fly
Searching peace and love
And when a vale or meadow
That I find enchanting
My gypsy blood sings
Giving me golden wings
The open sky, the open road
Is what I call home
Between the trees, around the swamp
Where dark eyed maidens dance and charm
My gypsy blood sings
Giving me golden wings
Along the watery paths
Where ships on silver slide
I visit ancient tombs
Of prophets and seers
My gypsy blood sings
Giving me golden wings
I learn wisdom from the Incas
And partake in the dance along the Nile
But when the shadows darken
I return to my mystical fire
My gypsy blood still sings
Giving me golden wings
I'd like to tell you a story of a boy who grew up to be a man.
A lonley man.
One day life came knocking, and out the back door he ran.
The music played so sweetly in his head.
But smoke filled his mind, and he never heard what the words said.
Now his days are filled with emptiness.
His nights are too.
He awakes to cold lonenly mornings.
Because he couldn't hear the minstrels warnings.
Hearts get broken, some never heal.
Words get spoken, and spin the wheel.
Where it stops, seals your fate.
Maybe on love, maybe on hate.
How long can you go on in a life of regret?
He wonders as he thinks of a time he tries to forget.
Hearts keep pounding till the very day you die.
I'm not sure, but I wonder if we'll ever know why.
Morning Gratitude
Kevin Davis 2025
I rise before the break of day,
To claim an hour that’s, mine to keep.
Alone I greet the growing gray,
While dawn awakes from quiet sleep.
I watch the sky ignite with flame,
Then blush to gold and fade from sight.
No two sunrises are the same,
Each brief display is a gift of light.
I walk where silver dew has lain
And plan the labors of the day.
An apple’s sweetness, crisp and plain,
While robins dart and wheel away.
My thoughts grow sharp, my spirit still.
I dress without a rush or fret.
Each simple task bends to my will,
By ordered grace and habit set.
Before I leave, I pause awhile
To see my love in peaceful rest.
I wake her with a kiss and smile
And hold her close against my chest.
I thank the Lord for one more dawn,
For love that waits when day is through.
Then step into the light drawn on,
With grateful heart and purpose true.
The shadows of a darkened past,
are the shades, that tomorrow cast.
The hurt we’ve caused, the damage we’ve done,
awakes each morning, with the rising sun.
In the shattered glass, there is pain,
when in the darkness of our mind, we remain.
Broken dreams, that piles up high,
as the shattered hearts, begin to cry.
In the darkness, we can’t see,
how those thing’s, hinder you and me.
The lack of knowledge, of the light,
blind to the darkness, we try to fight.
With no wisdom, we fight the air,
only hurting those, who truly care.
Where there’s a shadow, there’s a light,
and of the darkness, it gives us sight.
A heart of glass is mended with care,
filled with strength, beyond compare.
A heart of gold, from Heaven you see,
where the shades of tomorrow, will never be.
Daybreak in Richland Hills
Written: by Tom Wright
August 7 2008
In Richland Hills the dawn is showing,
I sit on the patio peering over my cup.
From across the alley a Rooster’s crowing,
I sit motionless as the sun comes up.
I hear dogs barking a few hundred paces,
Chadick Farms is beginning to break into song.
Squirrels are scurrying to their feeding places,
I’ve two days to visit and that isn’t long.
This is the time of day I cherish most,
For God speaks to me in the morning air.
I hope early arousal hasn’t disturbed my host,
While the city awakes I’m deep in prayer.
in the heart of the absolute
an intent arose
to manifest as a soul seed
then see how He grows
hiranyagarbha: cosmic egg
shaped like head ovoid
was the first manifestation
pure and unalloyed
both immanent and transcendent
Self as living light
crystallised then as body-mind
where ego blurred sight
earth life’s real and yet a dream
twirled by gunas three
yet light innate cannot be caged
silence sets us free
knowing this not, we pray to gods
concepts we’ve been fed
adept at brainwashing ourselves
truth’s as good as dead
in a state of inner conflict
head and heart apart
God smiles at us when we choose love
that’s the way to start
boundaries blur when love awakes
pheromones mingle
in samadhi we transcend mind
our soul’s eye single
the seeker who sought disappears
Self alone remains
this is the way, weary hermit
to shed ego chains
I'm the dream that never awakes
The result of the chances one takes
Some refuses to die
No matter how many times you try
The rewards you never see
The dreams that are never to be
Come rain or shine
Wanting them to be mine
The dreams you never realize
Fearful of those who may critisize
And all the while
Your left without your smile
Chances your meant to take
Some can end up a mistake
....Don't be fake....
The dream that never dies
Everybody sometimes cries
To push on under trying times
Like these rhymes
Some may like, some wont
But to give up you don't
Times may push you
Leave you blue
.......Tis true......
But on you go
Seems only you know
Why you don't walk away
Be left with no nothing to say
But some dreams never die
Even if you will only cry
.........Always try......
Rhymes or reason
Some other season
Years come and years go
The years ,they always show
But you can't give in
That'll be a sin
You have something to say
Maybe it'll happen today
You'll never know
If you don't show
.....Way to go.....
