Premium Member Squire Squab

I suppose that nearly every town has its share of self-appointed snobs,
A few old crabs and the usual crowd of ordinary Bills, Jills and Bobs.
In our fair village there's a character whose name is "Squire" Squab,
Whose well-known eccentricities stand out among the seething mob!

No one seems to know how the title of "squire" he acquired.
Nor has anyone that I know of really ever inquired.
He certainly isn't a lawyer, justice of the peace or judge,
Though he assumes those self-appointed roles at the slightest nudge!

He always wears a derby hat, spats and a dovetail coat.
Kids harass him unmercifully trying to get his goat!
On his daily stroll downtown he'll sidle up to some hapless soul,
With a myriad of inane propositions that he wishes to extol!

Many times at town council meetings, that august body he'll disrupt,
To denounce their ancestry, telling them that they are most corrupt!
At Baptist prayer meetings he often disturbs their peace,
And must be cuffed and escorted to jail by the local police!

Although some folks consider the "Squire" a peculiar curiosity,
Others like to think that he exudes a distinguished virtuosity!
When all is said and done, he is simply a naive and harmless guy,
But he certainly animates our town, this we surely can't deny!

Premium Member The Fool That I Am

I was taking her home to meet my parents
Of whom I never had said much about
If she had any concerns about the feelings I had
This was sure to remove all of the doubt

My father was working in the garden
When we drove up the driveway to my house
He was so happy to get to meet my girl
That he yelled into his lovely spouse

When my other father walked out of the front door
The uniqueness of my home life was on display
I watched her very carefully
Hoping she would be okay

She shook their hands with a smile on her face
Saying, “It’s so nice to meet both of you,
This explains so much about your son,
Things I am sure you already knew”

“This explains why he is so accepting
Of all our friends who are different than us
This explains why so quickly everyone I know
In your son puts all their trust”

“This explains why he is not judgmental
And why he never assumes to know another’s story
This explains why he is so confident
And not pretentious like so many other boys”

“But I wonder why he doesn’t boast about his Dads
And why he is worried about what others might think”
Then all three of them turned around to me
Staring with eyes that would not blink

I simply looked at them with love in my heart
Thinking about how my girlfriend and Dads were so cool
Then I simply shrugged my shoulders and said,
“I guess I am just a fool”

Premium Member Self help: Waterfall

Crashing and crazed, wave after wave,
A torrential anarchy from up high,
Relentlessly bombarding those down below,
Saturating all that was dry,

With bombs made from unhinged and wild and free,
Energies coming from peace,
Streams full of gentle, calm running life,
Forming a scream that falls like a beast,

Onto all down below, sharp rocks and the moss,
The brutal most natural bed,
The torrent falls down to people with hope,
To their arms and shoulders, their head,

This wild and free unhinged waterfall,
Assumes total, relentless control,
To cleanse the mind of whoevers below,
To cleanse their spirit and soul.

Roses

At times I contemplate,
what if this world was not my fate.
What if my birth day, just a date,
and this ink not on this page.

I often sink in thoughts of mine,
and ask too much, a quest to find,
my place in this, my fragile mind,
my hurt, is it just wasted time?

Would those, who love me so,
feel an absence, or would rivers flow.
Would the gardens, whisper slow,
as a rose will never grow?

Although, I’ll never know,
will evil have had less chance to show?
I question if I was never born,
perhaps it would be one less thorn.

For no one would mourn,
what has never been.
Perhaps they’d grief,
just as they worship what they’ve never seen.

You’d be mistaken to think how I lean,
it’s just us who assumes how it seems.
I just praise the ones who forever be,
heroes and titans, who never see.

Yes, we are alive indeed.

MOTIVATION

He smacked the desk in despair
Writer’s block a permanent feature in his limited world
Just the first sentence, not even a title yet
Words elusive, as if scared to appear on the page
And his own brain befuddled since his agent’s letter
That cancelled his contract for no apparent reason
Nor showing any sympathy or understanding
Of his plight, admitted and unchanged for months
But now, anger begins to bubble up like magma
Just the sort of trigger to resume this novel
Albeit the focus now has changed to be darker
A cold breath blows across his cowering senses
Waking them at last into stirring action

The words flow, not a trickle but fiercely gushing
Keys clattering, fingers now almost a blur
This new plot immodestly assumes a life of its own
Reaching down deep like solder in a metal’s crack
To begin a new scenario and even a new character
Emerging shirtless into the Queen’s bedroom
Desire clearly in evidence, first him then her
The script writes itself, as if in hot lead type
Setting new boundaries that are then broken
Until the King bursts in to see and sense that passion
That he so unable to command, initiate or to respond
Lends a ferocity to his reaction, drawing his dagger
That poses in lieu of any biology, however weak

Sheets are blood soaked, the realm in disarray
The King ushered away by concerned counsellors
Their advice for discretion of limited sustenance
The court hears rumours, quickly amplified
Mutterings and plots too easily overheard
Now the King is not present to greet visitors
Royalty from another land and a warring history
At this point, the writer takes a breath
Now sure of this novel’s working title
Scribbling it in old fashioned pen across the front page
Confident that this will change his fortunes
His agent may soon reverse his view and be convinced
But there is so much more now to be typed
What was a tall dam now may even break
Releasing ten thousand words and a haunting story

The Spiritual Journey

My spiritual journey was
Going through the
Ups and downs of life
Also learning that you have
To go through life’s trials
My spiritual journey was
Going through constant disappointments
Causing spiritual lows in my life
My spiritual journey was
Surviving the jealousy
Of others who assumes that
You shouldn’t have anything
Good in life so, they
Try to sabotage your progress
My spiritual journey was
Learning that your own family
Will betray you, just to keep
You from getting ahead in life
Through my journeys I’ve
Learn a valuable lesson
Never give up, keep fighting
With GOD correcting the wrong
You will succeed!

Premium Member The Great Rapture Story

Christian evangelicals
of GoodNews for spiritual elites
and BadNews for natural non-elites
radically separate scriptures
describing a divine EarthCreation Story
of past one-week strategic development,
kept in one sacred sciences department,

Away from
evolutionary/revolutionary scripture predicting
future EndTime judgment.

Spiritual anthrocentric Rapture Narratives,
foreshadow nature-embodied Hell on the Negative side
and timeless spiritual Paradise
on the Positive-Redemptive Side
of individual through cosmic
Eco-Theo Logical unfolding
of history's Great PassionStory.

Yet divorcing our CreationStory
from biblical Rapture Narrative
assumes a dualistic view
of natural past v spiritual future worlds
nature created and spiritual re-creating
rather than a nondualistic dipolar nature
is our outside view
of spirit as our inside shadow
of deep cooperative learning/competitive hating
experiences.

This dualistic anti-evolutionary nature creation event
before and outside
spiritual rapture/holocaust extreme bipolar prediction
for people of all consumed nations
is not supported by Jewish polycultural awareness
of Jesus's nature/spirit outside/inside time

Nor
by His parables and teachings
holding nature and spirit analogically
and ecologically together,
the flowering spiritual wealth of flowers
as seen in multiculturing grace
of naturally diverse beauty

The suggestion,
If your spirit develops envy and lust
then best to pluck out your own natural eye,
before someone else does it to you.

Jesus of Nazareth
grew up in a culture
of Samson nature-spirit rapturous nonduality.
Spiritual Positive strength
grew with the natural evolving length of hair
on Samson's superhero head.

Once nature is grasped
as an outside convex view
of Earth's Creation history,
then Spirit remains an inside concave view,
ego to eco,
natural identity to spiritual individuation
of each healthy individual's Positive/Negative
Rapture Narrative

Speaking in polypathic feeling-sensory nutrition languages
for Ego-Eco double-binding therapeutic Passion Stories,
mendacious dark
and integrity light.

Evengelical self-recreating Emperors
wear no scripture-inspired rapturous clothes,
much less rapturous Wonder and Awe arraignment.

Premium Member GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT

They asked the old man what he thought his greatest achievement was…
It took a moment for him to contemplate
Before saying with a smile,
“I suppose that depends on what you call an achievement…
and what is your definition of great.”

“Asking what my greatest achievement was assumes that it’s over…
that from that achievement I’ve moved on…
something I’ve accomplished whose time has come and gone.”

“But I like to think my greatest achievement…the one I hold most dear
is ongoing…will never end…even when I’m no longer here.”

“It’s the family I’ve helped preserve…
a long line of ancestors I’m proud to be a part of.
It’s the portion of this family I’ve helped create
that I’m blessed to be in the heart of.”

It’s spreading my love and acceptance far and wide
helping every member of my family grow
whenever they may need me…wherever they may go.

It’s loving each of them enough in this family I’m hoping to make
to give them the opportunities to make their own mistakes.

It’s coasting with them when the road they choose to travel is smooth
when on those days…just a smile is enough….
It’s offering them the love and support they need
those times when the road gets rough.

The old man sat down on a bench and chuckled
It seems to me as long as I live…the older and older I get….
my greatest achievement is something
I’m not through achieving yet…

When I Talk To My Duncan

When I talk to my duncan

Yes, when the harsh vagaries of life,
Afflict me with despair ,
I need his words,
His prayers, his outstretched hand ...

In those days I only write and erase,
When I did not concentrate on what I do;
When all I think brings embarrassment,
Only solution to meet your touch.

It was God that put it in my way,
Came to cover a gap in my life,
Replace those who never came in line
With rules of solidarity and affection.

When I talk with him feel strong,
His voice sounds odd to my ear,
In moments it makes me life make sense
And fast foolproof shows my north.

When he assumes the role of confidant,
Enters the body and soul in my problems,
Makes my goals their badges
And unfolds to see me happy.

When I talk with him is a lesson of optimism,
Calls from the past to serve me a lesson
And if in this regales me your heart,
He sees a future of our own, full of romanticism.

His words balsamic are me from
Restores your voice to the flavors of life,
With him always find a way be happy
And I believe that happiness is ours alone.
