The Helicopter Flight

One morning, when I was stationed at base operations in Subic, I had a
telephone call. A Filipino shipyard worker had died during the night-shift,
on the job at the navy repair facility, apparently of natural causes. But to
cover our backsides, the shipyard wanted to fly the body to Clark Air Force
Base for autopsy by a pathologist. Just to make sure.

So I called one of the many helicopter pilots I had become acquainted
with to set the flight up. The pilot said “No problem, just put the body in
a body bag, and we’ll strap him into one of the UH-I’s seats (the helicopter
workhorse of Vietnam), call it a training flight, and do the deal.” So, I called the
shipyard, told them what to do, and went back to my morning cup of coffee.

A few minutes later, the admiral’s Aid called, to tell me that the admiral’s
driver, a marine corps sergeant with three Purple Hearts from combat in
Vietnam, was going to be charged with some minor legal offense by his
Philippine girlfriend, in order to keep him in the Philippines, instead of
returning to his wife in the US. The admiral wanted to get him to Clark and
en route home ASAP to avoid bi-lateral US-Philippine embarrassment.
So I called the pilot to tell him he would have a second passenger. No
problem, I went back to my coffee.

A few minutes later, I got a call from the marine corps captain who was
in charge of the brig. He had a soldier stressed out from combat in Nam,
high on unknown drugs, and violent. He wanted to get him out of the brig,
and send him back to the US.

So I called the helicopter pilot again to inform him of his third passenger.
He agreed to take him, if he was put in a straight jacket and leg irons, and
accompanied by a an armed guard. A reasonable requirement, because
passengers had access to the pilots in UH1 “Hueys”.

I still wonder what the air force airman thought as he slid open the door
of that Huey when it landed at Clark.

Adrenaline Rush

Adrenaline Rush

This drug that surges through
my veins and floods my brain each day.
Giving my brain just the jolt it needs
in all the right ways!

This electric stimulation is organic.
Nothing bought on the street
or over the counter would ever compare
to the sparking flares this natural
drug delivers to me.

I find my fix through
various avenues and pathways
of my life, any way that will deliver
this potent rush to me quickly.

While speeding down the highway,
weaving in and out of cars with
the radio blasting my favorite rock song.

The "endorphin fix" my body delivers
while running across a ten mile run.

A really scary movie, or roller coast will
do in a pinch!

The intense buzz
I feel the moment
I take my first step
 off the highest bridge
I can find with a bungee
rope attached to my waist.

The exhilarating feeling of delivering
a public speech in front of a crowded room.

The bells and whistles
that sound off in my body as I ski
down the steepest black diamond path.

That fleeting feeling as the blade
of my skate digs into the ice and
I project into a triple axel-spin
in the brisk air.

It’s this rush that I enjoy
running to every day
in my own way,
my adrenaline rush.

I’m so addicted to you!

So Gone - the Synopsis

Two stepping on a cloud of spacey smoke, leaning on elevation as my thirst is quenched by
a tasteful yet un-nutrtional brown water. Fantastic fantasies like the unicorns friendship, half
closed eyes warmly hugged by a red veil. Inner body tingles for an outer body experience,
where ever I go there I am twice. As the world sounds like an ocean I am on a wave within
a wave... wait I beg to differ, I am the wave. Again inticed by thirst, more wonderful brown
water, yet first the filthy water is tipped before consumption. Surely an honor for the ships
indulged in their final journey. Cigarettes from saturn a special blend indeed, with a regally
rich aroma like the peculiar smell of audacity. The lungs constrict as absorbtion takes place,
streams of smoke are ejected like an illusional laso. A seat is taken, a smile is given and the
lights go out... Im so gone.
So gone, so gone, so gone I am, So gone i can whisper at a bird dancing on a branches
stem.
So gone, so gone, so gone some more, so gone that without moving I can walk through a
door.
So gone, so gone, damn Im so gone, so gone that the feeling I truly adore, so gone that in
reality I can write no more.

Satan and the Hallow Oaks: the Pilgrims Road

Satan and the Hallow Oaks: The Pilgrims Road
Waking in the world of men
Cast down
Like the trash of low life peasants
On these mountains you woke
Now facing your challenge
Your travel
Your quest
Will leave you to find forgiveness
You mortal body is weak
Like everything it now grows old
It withers like these forests
Covered in ash
The ash of their brothers
The ash of their own body’s
The Hallow Oaks have been burned
And your father
He is lost
You’re all that is left from this war
You must go forward
Finding your path
On this road of redemption
This is where you will atone for your sins
Your sins against your brothers
Your sins against you kingdom
Your job was to fight and win
Your results were failure
But we will offer redemption
We are kind
We are the leaders of this place
We are your council
Now that your mind is clear and your body awake
You must go travel once again
Go fourth
This is the pilgrims road
