Turning to merge with the happy
herd,
I heard clinking against frosty
glass --
Ladyfingers escaping tiramisu,
Followed by creamy swirls of
Chocolate mousse --
And beckoned to their shelf, I
asked
If they desired of me to have a
word.
A dolce chorus of confections
confessed
How to my hips they wished to
bestow
Love handles destined to be
caressed
Through the streets of the Feast
Of San Gennaro.

There are those mornings I wake up
In my bed while the sun shines in
The radio alarm would sometimes go off
And Ladyfingers would play
I'd start to cry from the sounds of the trumpets
You used to kiss me in my bed
When the room was so bright
Soft music would play
And our clothes would come off
I'd let you inside 'cause I thought it was perfect
You were not my first
But I thought you'd be my only
Of course you didn't think the same
Ask Rae, Michelle, Ashley, and Kim
I was just another one of those fools
And still I am 'cause I miss you
