CALIFORNIA GOLD AND JOHNNY REB
PART 2
So now we’ve made it we’re back in Tennessee
Don’t have to run anymore I’m in the land of the free
Heard the president was sending boys called the yanks
To take over our land and the money from our banks
Now you don’t mess with the boys of the south
Because we’ve been taught not to run our mouths
So if you want a fight just make your way here
These Johnny Reb boys will show you no fear
I signed up for the 1st calvary just for a little while
Now I’ve got my uniform and my girl gives me a smile
A place called Shiloh dead soldiers every where
Bullets flying all around but we don’t seem to care
Captain said we had to go keep our on with the attack
Then I felt the heat and pain from a bullet in my back
Just tell my momma and girl I went down in a fight
Because they said I wouldn’t make it through the night

california gold and Johnny reb
I left my home in Tennessee to find some California gold
Gonna strike it rich and find the mother lode
After six long months on a dusty and lonesome trail
After all of this ain’t no way I’m gonna fail
Gonna find me a river gonna stake me a claim
Yes it’s true I’m after gold, fortune and fame
All I’ve got is my mining tools and food in my pack
And when I find a big nugget I’ll throw the little ones back
And all night long when I’m trying to get some rest
Hear gunfire someone trying to prove who’s the best
Found me a girl she’s as sweet as she can be
Don’t have eyes for nobody else eyes just for me
One night a drunk cowboy tried to make her his own
The way he touched her chilled me to the bone
Our guns started blazing my bullet hit his heart
Noe I’m in a cell wishing I could make a new start
The judge said guilty the gavel came down with a bang
And I’ll stand in this courthouse watch you as you hang
But my girl had other plans as she pulled out her gun
Now we’re going back to Tennessee as fast as our horse can run

Republicans Are Really a Rip (Rest In Peace)
Took a jab at Jeb
Who might be a Johnny Reb
Should he ebb and ebb?
Full of ridicule
Candidates can be a fool
Mind has a loose tool.
Leaving things a wreck
Not playing with a full deck
Running neck and neck.
Down path we were led
Vote for Hilary instead
Hear what she has said.
