Pipe dreams oh my pipe dreams
how possible you once had seemed
the wishes and plans made in our brain
at first thought, they all seem so sane
pipe dreams oh my pipe dreams
all our hopes, plots, scams and schemes
things that were so close, still so far away
places I could go, places I could have stayed
maybe I can be a soldier or a sailor on the sea
maybe I can mold the minds of the young leaders to be
maybe I could fight the fires, uncontrolled throughout the west
maybe I could be a halfback and become one of the best
maybe I could be a superhero, maybe I could save the day
maybe I could lead the country, steer it in a better way
maybe I could be a father, I'd be a fun and goofy dad
maybe I could be normality that I have never had
these things are my pipe dreams, I'm sure you have some of your own
the lesson from this list, take it when life throws you a bone

how possible you all once had seemed...
