Mountain range in the
distance. Rugged, jagged. A
beauty all it's own.
Saguaro cactus.
Tall proud. A ancient man.
Sentry to the past.
Mesquite and greasewood,
prairie grass, sage and cacti
cover the landscape.
Harsh sun bakes the earth.
Winds will shape the desert floor.
Rains will work the rock.
Flash floods carve out new
terrain. Taking and giving
life to parched land.
Danger is around
and under each rock and plant.
death is a constant.
Sonoran Desert.
gateway to the Wild West,
will not be tamed
