To my Future Father in Law

To the man who gave her her first steps and name,
Whose love, like a lighthouse, lit her through rain—
Before I held her hand in mine,
It was your strength where she would shine.

I vow not just to love your daughter dear,
But to honor the trust that brought me here.
To guard her smile the way you did,
Through every storm, through every bid.

You've watched her grow from child to grace,
And now, with tears, you give her place.
But know this truth as deep as skies:
In every promise, your role still lies.

For in her laugh, I hear your song,
In her courage, where you belong.
You raised her with a heart so wide,
That even I found home inside.

So I vow to be not just a husband and friend,
But a son to you, till journey’s end.
Thank you for the gift you give,
In her, your legacy shall live.

Premium MemberThe Love of God

The love of God, it is so wide,
That all who will, may in it bide.
When Jesus on the cross did die,
God’s love was echoed in His cry.

The love of God is strong and long,
Echoing like an endless song.
The one who has no birth nor end,
Came down to earth to be man’s friend.

The love of God, it is so high,
Extending far beyond the sky.
God’s Son with love from heaven came,
To wipe from man sin’s searing shame.

The love of God flows oh, so deep,
Causing His broken heart to weep.
Desiring our hearts to win,
God sent His Son to save from sin.

Because God saw me, lost, accursed,
and made the choice to love me first.
I choose to cease from sin and strife
and give to Him my heart and life.

Premium MemberMy Father Eternal

I acknowledge You' are my eternal Father, I was
Born an earthly birth, in a corner of a universe
That drew its breath, from Your word rather
More You were, and are and will be; no mortal
Thing çan ever conquer me.' Though i know my
Parents bore and nurtured me, its you who alone
Who own the whole; the spirit heart and soul of
Me.' You sent your son to, get me freed.! from any
Trace of death dark seed, co-heir with Christ my
Opened eyes do see, i lift Your name in all in Majesty
My only hope and trust and guide, i place in You
Forever and ever, and much more besides.! I thank
You Father, for victory won, and the Holy Spirit dear
Lord; who always overcomes, the shadows of any fear.

A Prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank You so much
For all You’ve given to someone like me;
Undeserving of Your affection, still
You sent Your only Son to set me free.

I was deaf and blind to all Your goodness--
Ignored Your Word and chose another way.
I thought You hindered me from happiness,
But I was just lost like a dog astray.

Through the many storms and uncertainties,
I emerged triumphant and overcame;
But without Your hand holding me aloft,
I wouldn’t have victory to proclaim.

I have nothing to boast about, dear God,
For all that I possess have come from You--
My strength, my will, my heart, my intellect,
And all that I know You already knew.

When I was but a youngster
In the folly of my day
I splashed around a swimming pool
Before I knew my way

The water quickly sucked me in
And I began to drown
I knew my life was over then
As I was going down

I must have made a mighty splash
As I was sinking fast
Although the wave that covered me
Was claiming me at last

I didn’t have a chance to say
Please help me if you can
I simply said goodbye to life
Before I was a man

Then suddenly to my surprise
My father pulled me out
He sat me on the water’s edge
As I began to pout

He didn’t pay attention
To the tears I must’ve shed
He didn’t seem to mind at all
That I was nearly dead

I know that he was teaching me
To think about my play
A father knows the dangers
That are leading us astray

Today I am a daddy
And my boy and I are one
We learn of life together
As we grow from son to son.

My Own Choice, Free Will

You are my father and I, your son.

If you send me somewhere, I will go without a second thought nor doubt your judgment.

If you demand, or ask something from me, then I shall give it to you. Considering that the thing in question is under my possession at the required time.

However, choosing and making final decisions for me means that I have become a slave and not a son. Thus, you have taken away that free-will which belongs to every individual. Or, that blessing which the Creator blessed me with; from the very beginning of the creation.

I can give up all the worldly possessions that are under my control, but never when it comes to taking away my free-will. Therefore, I wish to remain as a son to you and not a slave.

I will not trust nor allow my soul to be taken for granted, and humiliated to such a level of not making up my own choice. No man should become a master over another. Simply, because every slave must have a master, but a son needs only a father in life. Nothing more and nothing less!

Golden Gates

The beauty of life's song is in between the silence of the notes
If you don't stop to listen you'll never hear what was wrote
Appreciation has a purpose and it's meant for the beholder
Like when a father asks his son to give only to hand more over
Loving life is just the start comprised of building up another
So love your neighbor practice patience and be like a brother
After all we're all in this together and noone gets out alive
Lead by example and work together your community is like a hive
Have understanding for one's anger and someone in tough times
That understanding will shine a beacon of trust for all that see to find
Indecisiveness doesn't exist in a world defined by character traits
So be someone revered, upright and just leading with Love to Golden Gates

A Son To His Father

“A vision into
your future

“A mirror
of your past”

Father cannot go cycling as he is old
To him, his grown up son once told
"It will take you long to recoup
If fall down, you'll surely droop"
Father quietly prayed for his son to be bold.

Resourceful Father, Wanting To Know About

Resourceful father, wanting to know about,
Does an intelligent son to able cuss out ,
Hit his son's fingers with a heavy hammer.
Such was the foul language, that daddy got stammer!

Forgiveness

God sent His son to show humanity
His love for all mankind
when Christ was crucified He asked
'forgive them father for they know not what they do'
we still dont and He still forgives

My Name Is Cousin Paulie

My name is Cousin Paulie,
Average bloke in an average job,
Father to a daughter who was killed by a virus,
while neutropenic from chemotherapy,
Son to an 89 year old dad,
Who would like to see 90 in June,
Staying home and isolating,
A message to those who still play
and risk the lives of the sick and old,
Stay the * at home,
Or we will have our vengeance,
in this life or the next.

What Is a Father

What is a father, you ask?
A father is a man, who is strong
Strong for the people he loves;
And a person in your eyes, who never does wrong.

He plays ball with the sons he may bare
Or, he may tell his daughters who to watch out for
He lets his children know he does care,
And when they’re small he takes them, for a drive.

A father will go out, with a son to a bar
He’ll walk a daughter down the isle
And when we are gone and not so far,
He’ll let us know, we can always come home.

A father can become a grandfather
To have grandchildren to call his own
He doesn’t mind when they start to bother;
As he knows, the parents are very near.

So as I write this
You shall always remember
What, a father is.

Dad Father Slam

Dad,
I really need you now

Mum,
Is bad

And it's cold comfort you are dead

As i cannot ask you
And you cannot tell me
What i am or supposed to do

You used to provide answers
Before i even asked the question

Now Dad who i am i to ask ?
What am i to do ?
Regarding Mum ?

The only thing i know
Is i do not have
and can not provide the answers

All's i know is i am lost without you

I only wish i was a better Son to you

All's i know is i am lost without you

Help me please Dad,
Tell me what am i supposed to do about Mum?
