Premium MemberEvin Prison

Khaled was a bodybuilding champ in Iran
A photo shows a smiling and very strong man
Then in Evin Prison, at the mercy of nasty folk
His spine fractured, kidneys failed, heart was harmed, leg was broke.

Evin is a bad place, 113 degrees and no A.C.
I'm sure you can think of better places to be
One woman tells us solitary had no toilet or bed
4 months there then 400 days before she learned if she'd be dead.

Israel destroyed the Evin Prison gate
Then Trump called for cease fire, peace could not wait
I guess he didn't want to be dragged into a "forever war"
But for Evin's prisoners, Iran will close that door.

From the "dungeons of oppression" Khaled sent out a cry
He said "freedom of speech and human rights here are a big lie
But most Westerners know that. It's just "what can we do?"
Until they come for us for their big plans include us too.

The Perks of Being Me

A s I think
B ack on all those days of
C onfusion, utter
D esolation, I remember
E very blessing that befell me.
F amily and friends and of course
G od above loved and cared for me.
H aving thought about it,
I realised how lucky I was.
J ennifer might be happier,
K evin more successful, but
L ess blessed are they in
M y sight, they don't have what I do.
N o, they don't have my family,
O r Awsome friends like mine either.
P erks of being who I am
Q uiet, bordering on boring
R eserved? Ha!That's what they think
S ocially awkward and of course, a
T eensy bit geeky.
U nawares caught, quite fumbling
V ain, oh, no one knows how vain,
W eird? Well I'm wired that way. Quite
X enophobic, I'm not even kidding.
Y et, that side of me gets
Z ero exposure..No one really knows me that way.

The Growth of a Wildflower (Composed By Evin Brown For Me)

All through the young years of one Wildflowers life, she had been introduced to all the
darkest colors. Even when the wind picked her up and carried her away the shady colors
followed. And then, rain. And the rain did not stop as it danced against her colorful and
majestic petals.
The Wildflower was sad, and her condition was deepening. Instead of the dark colors
leaving, they would fade. Showing what the Wildflower could attain, teasing her as she felt
helpless while the shade played it's games. The Wildflower began to wilt.
But the Wildflower is strong and little did she know, all her life the sun was coming to stop
the rain and bring the brighter colors. All the things she dreamt of were on there way.
The Wildflower never lost hope, and when the sun arrived, she perked up and stared in to
his face to take in all his warmth and comfort. She stood in an amazing array of beauty and
fantasia of colors. Nothing you could ever see is as beautiful or ever will be. This is truely
spectacular.

No struggle can change the fantasia that is named Taylor Jenkins.
