Your the one family i can't live without
The part of my soul i would be sad if it left me
Your my best friend since i was a kid
The one who made me smile
The one who made me laugh when i was sad
The one who said everything will be alright
The one who helped me become who i am today
Your the one who taught me to be proud of my family
Not to let people get the better of me
To stand up for what i believe
The one who came in to say goodnight to me at 11pm
After you got done in the field
The one who got me everything i have
The one person who i look up to
The one who i try my best to impress
Just so you'll be happy
The person who has never left me
The person who put up with me even when i was hard to deal with
The person who lets me talk to them about anything
Who gives the best advice
Makes my day better
When you mess up you always try to make your mess a little better
You never leave anything broken
Your the person who never leaves me when i need someone
The person who has a personality like mine
The person who never gave up on me
I love you dad
She was a miracle conceived out of sweet adoration,
I’ve always been grateful for her God-given creation.
No comparison is she to other children I know,
admiring her strength and watching her grow.
When she lost her auntie, she was filled with woe.
A perfect beauty mark right above her right cheek,
it makes her rosy complexion stunning and unique.
We share a bond beyond compare, a rare connection.
When I look back at her youth in deep reflection
I remember all the good we held in adorning affection.
She may never know what she means to her mum.
This mum prays for her to be all she wants to become.
If there were metaphors and syllables to explain
what she means to me and all the memories that remain.
I even love that her room is messy like a hurricane!
She’s significant and momentous without bad behavior
and I have taught her to praise our Lord and Savior.
I am filled with so much joy and calming repose
as I watch all the tiny seeds of kindness she sows.
I am so proud of my beautiful daughter…Ella Rose.

I'm proud of my little girl
For the woman you've become
Always keeping in your heart
The place where you came from
But you must go live your life
To the beat of your own drum.
Time goes by so slowly here
In your world of denial
I try to keep my head clear
But you've been so blind
It just gets harder and harder to breathe
Seems like a hundred years
Since you've really looked at me
I've cried an ocean of tears
Screaming for you to see
I'm not what you wanted but I'm still something
You thought you wanted me to be a doctor
But you always told me I'm stupid
You broke my spirit, took the controls
Even the teachers told you what you were doing
Said maybe I'd change if you treated me differently
But you made it so hard to be in the family
I believed all the words you threw in my face
Got myself kicked out of every school
Your oldest daughter, your biggest disgrace
But I am a Runyan, so proud of my family
So much time I wasted trying to make you proud of me
Not knowing you had written me off
Finally I'm back in your life
Doing all I can to prove it's worth it
But there's this cage around you
I know I made mistakes forever
But people really can change
I took the steps through hell, I'm not "her"
Still you keep me at a distance
Who breaks first, me or you?
Just spoke with my surrogate daughter
The sweetest young treasure I've ever known
A beautiful flower alone in a field
Her beauty is beyond words
Both her visual countenance and her inner beauty
Shine forth with such brilliance
To light up my life, to show me goodness
A smile that exhibits an inner warmth
With a glow that melts my heart
There are many friends and acquaintances
That have entered and exited my life
But none so sweet and charming
I am so proud of my darling surrogate daughter

My parents taught me the Christian ways.
I was taught to obey what the Bible says.
I was proud of my parents! I really was!
And loved them so much… Just because!
They meant everything to me! I was proud!
Until one day... There appeared “a dark cloud.”
It was like a “darkness” hovered above.
Leaving their marriage empty of needed love!
Though they were together many years.
There were many cracks that soon appeared.
I say a once happy home soon destroyed.
Being with one another…. They no longer enjoyed!
How could this happen! I had wondered…
To see a happy marriage “totally plundered
As sin crept in... And allowed to prevail.
Very soon this marriage simply failed.
May this be a warning for me and you…
That our commitment remains faithful and true!
If your marriage is heading toward separation…
Please seek God for a healing and restoration!
If your planning to have a divorce..
Jesus’ love can put it on the right course!
He can replace the brokenness and hurt within..
And can put your lives back together AGAIN!
