Winnie the Pooh never knew
the trek that honey seekers tread
that mysterious drive askew
that drove them to the fragrance of a hidden bed
and a hundred blushing blossoms bounce and prance
with soft fuzzy cuddlers touching nature's circumstance;
and I,
the sentient but distant bumbling observer see
life follows the plans and path like tiny insect feet,
a worker neither drone nor queen
gathering the memories of where I've been,
moments reminiscent of time spent in pondering
those wonderful experiences to life's many wanderings,
ever on the mend seeking new finds around the bend
with my poetry and journals, today do I poorly tend
remembering all the good times as well as bad
life still has dreams and hopes, both happy and sad
accepting today as it is without regrets
holding to tomorrow, don't count me out, I'm not done yet.
