Grace still prevails...
toward planned mountain trekking
propelling faith to surmount slippery paths
conquering threats of slime pit-falls
that challenge pinnacle-ascent.
Blessings of rain showers cascade...
as heaven pours down crystal treasures
to answer rice terraces’ quest
and pleas of flower gardens for blossoms
as well as trees in orchards to bear fruits
toward harvests worthy of sharing along festive delight.
Thanksgiving pervades...
midst commencement exercises
while breeding goal-fulfillment
as triumph is anticipated
with vibrant and radiant hope
since what matters most
when Summer is gone
the Creator Lord reigns*
above every season!

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord wrapped in the laughter
and the sounds of a five year old.
Truth is marching as I witness commencement exercises across the university
law campus.
Bombs bursting in air has a truer sound and a detailed message as I reread the
letters from my son who serves his country overseas.
This is where the real pledge of allegiance is silently read.
