Forgive us Father
He was despised and rejected by men,
A man of love, forgiveness and understanding,
As the man that men hide their faces and contempt,
As men esteemed Him not.
Sure we may miss our grief,
As we carried our own sorrows.
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
smitten of God and afflicted.
But He was brought for our transgressions.
He was crushed for our iniquities.
God was upon Him was the punishment,
That brought man peace,
With his wounds we are healed,
Whatever you think His sheep have gone astray.
He turned to each one to His children,
As the God laid upon Him the iniquity of us all,
Man the oppressed, as we are the injured,
As He did open his mouth,
“Forgive them Father for they no not what they do?”
Like a lamb led to slaughter,
Han has now found themselves wanting,
For there lives to be truly free,
Man has a need to be Christ like,
To be loving, caring, and understanding,
Truly and completely, connected to God.
