Neglected Ties

You shirk the weight of parenthood's call,
leaving your children to wither, unfed.
Are you a father, or mere specter of one?
A mother, or just a shadow that's gone?

While others nurture, educate, and guide,
you abandon your own to fate's tide.
Your concern lies with outsiders, it seems,
while your kin suffer, and your legacy beams.

The children you forsook, the partner you left,
will rise to greatness, despite the neglect.
Will you claim pride in their future fame?
Seek praise for years of absence, and hollow claims?

Awaken to your duties, and seize the day,
for the future beckons, and will not stray.

The voice of the children

(All). We are the voice of the children, here to educate and lament about all the pain, joy, and anxiety and fear we carry as children all over the world.
1.We are shut out by time and speed, indeed time really moves but today we stand as the voice of all children, lamenting and remembering our brothers and sisters in all parts of the world, speaking freedom, encouraging respect, crying against child oppression and calling and wailing for redemption of the world’s future leaders.
(All). Ooh indeed we stand to speak for those who can’t speak. Overall we are here to make the first step in fighting the problem and that is identifying the problem.
2.	All children whose parents left them, all children who don’t have a place to call home but they move around in the streets begging for food and they sleep in the holes tanks and anywhere even when the night is cold and dark they stand alone, without education and without proper medication.
(All). Our hearts are bleeding today, sorrow and horror that is why we cry and wail as loud as we can calling for help.

The Mourning Bird

I know why the caged bird sings
The bird is not signing but crying
For the daily loss of its parents.

Birds are asked to leave the nest for their survival at an early age.

Mother nor Father are not there to educate their off- spring through 18 years of life while it roost at home.

No birthday parties
No date nights
No porch light letf on until a wild night of carousing.

The caged birds cries when he was abandoned and rejected and forced to leave the safety of the home.

Killing With An Epigram

If a man can't educate his child
He teaches the same to fight!
It may as well grow up to be wild
And things may still turn out right!

Premium MemberHeaven Called

Born into a family of fourteen
Never having heard the words “I love you”
She left home a girl with little education
An army life she did pursue

She fell in love and married a soldier
Soon a mum of five
Tragedy struck early
At thirty seven her husband died

Widowed with five small children
In a time of limited support
She emigrated to Australia
On the ten pound pass she bought

She worked her life as a cleaner
Worked her fingers to the bone
To do what she had to for her children
Keep safe, educate and home

She was only a little lady
Four foot ten and no more
Her heart though was as big as the ocean
My role model, mother and mentor

She taught her children well
About life’s rights and wrongs
To show respect and be kind
Be determined and strong

In latter years we were best buddies
An unbreakable, eternal bond
Until heaven called for….
My beautiful,sweet ,little mum
