Wackiness

No one missed the cock's wackiness, Still it was a dreaminess, Nothing substituted his craziness, Crowd appreciated Tom's cockiness, Actually he was a bird of laziness,
How did he get the pickiness?,
But he used his canniness, I admired his rockiness,
He removed our sloppiness, His fight was not spottiness, I was attracted by his choppiness, He got victory by his grogginess, Atlast he became logginess, Anyhow his fight gave me floppiness.

Soft, New, Parade, Part Two

All eyes off the ball,

myopic windows glint overhead,

blink blindly overseeing, overlooking the

raucous, shifting scene below:

dark thin ice.

Part mysterious, storied ritual and

part naked land grab in full regalia,

mere Bourgeois Military Folly rumbles past,

rattling the rest of the world off its hinges,

cracking foundations.

To the almost deafening sound of a marching band,

spectators exchange furtive, knowing glances

--- words are best left unspoken, are best left unheard

in secret hearts, in due pagan canniness, for now.*

"The goal and its believers is great."

--- from the Treatise on the Resurrection

Bough and Feather

untangle,
leave the shadow of Death behind,
at Death's dark door.
Filled w/ Light
the Heart grows wings,
flaps up into the sky free.
Below, She moves,
a dance, through soft, dappled sunshine.

The Five Imperishable Gnostic Trees in Paradise
stand along the roadside, on the Way out of the city.
The noisy crowd still passes by.
The storm is now faraway, retreating, invisible over
the horizon, but still booming and crackling as
it rolls along:

Motion in Rest
in a remnant, Baroque sky -
royal purple, light and dark blue,
grey, white, deepest golden.

Back there, over one's shoulder,
hills slowly, almost imperceptibly darken.
W/ cold night unstoppably approaching,
the good, wise serpent
stirs on a black, wet bough,
due pagan canniness.

Nestled hidden in heavy, quivering leafage,
the serpent hugs His Tree even tighter,
slowly, methodically, tenderly.
Gilded, scaly coils flare softly,
then blaze brighter than any sun.
