A hammer and nails, a tri-square and saw
Some screws and a diagram laid on the floor
With two long sides cut, I shall now cut each end
And if the wood splits then it’s easy to mend
My wife seems to think that I’m some kind of burk
She said that the bedroom’s a strange place to work
I said I have brains ’neath these grey thinning hairs
For now when it’s done, it’s already upstairs
Ever since we were united by cupid
She’s always grinned, when I say I’m not stupid
She glared at my tools and my timber and said...
‘You know when I asked you to go make the bed....’
brrk brrk brrk
buc buc buc burk
nice chicken,
buc buc buc
brk brK BURKuRK
Mean CHICKEN!
The littles pet my mouth
as I say the brrks
Recoiling with delight
when mean chicken
gives them fright.
