Combinations

There is a combination for everything
the way I wear my hair
and you yours
my squint
and your wide-open stare.
The combinatiion
of words put to paper,
the combination
of words that never appear.

The Universe
combines us,
and we commingle with the stars----
the way a comet passes its years
out there,
the way we pass ours
here.

Premium Member Love's Vows

These words are carved upon my heart
they say, "Till death us do part"

with trembling voice and tear stained face
the words were said and rings took place

The people gathered there rejoiced
to hear love's vows, given voice

and the love that brought us there that day
has grown so strong, it's here to stay

through the happiness, strife, joys and sorrows
our love endures all of life's tomorrows

These words are burned into my soul
they say, "I plight thee my troth"

and that promise still burns hot and true
for my one and only love is you.

For my loving husband, James David
