Premium Member Dream of Death

I dreamt my father came to me
From beyond the grave words spoken
He held my hand and said to me
Your life cycle has broken

Mom sent me here to fetch you
And take you home to heaven
I rejoiced and hugged my Dad
Eager to see my late folks and husband

But before I could get dressed to leave
My father had departed
Does he still wait to take me home?
Answer, Dad, I'm broken hearted

To join all my loved ones in the afterlife
Brings great joy to me, no fear
So I will sleep lightly again tonight
In hopes Dad will reappear

I love you so
And in this lifetime you will never know
The love in my heart
Has been there from the start
The first time on metrodate
The site of our union
We always had our ups and downs
But we weathered through the obstacles
To where we are today
And each day from here forward
Until the precious Lord takes me away
To the place of glory and contentment
But even in Heaven I will be
Watching over you and guiding you
To find the perfect image of me
To carry on the traditions of glorious marriage
Which you will not be deprived of
While you are still young and beautiful
Which will never change?
For you beauty is endless to mine eyes
For the time being while I am still with you
I will always love, honor, and cherish
Beyond imagination and comprehension
You are my queen and the mother of my children
Who will grow into the years?
From youth to adulthood
Knowing they have always been loved
To the fullest extent imaginable
From this day forward
I pray these things in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost
Amen

Chorus
Our father is always there
He knows in our hearts what we need
He guides us in our daily lives
Our father he will always be

On the Road To Heaven { Mom's Elegy }

< We are gathered here today to celebrate Bernadine Goerlich's life
Though taken from us to soon she has now risen to be with the Lord
Do not fret for greif and sorrow shall pass too
Let us bow our heads and pray
                      In thy name of the Father Son And Holy Spirit  {Amen }

At the tender age of 70 she lived her life to the fullest
Raising a family of 10 she always had an xtra room
For she loved her God family friends and her beloved pets
And even heard of her always baking cakes cookies pies and italian foods
She really must of had her hands full with 5 boys and 5 girls

For Lord please cradle her in your everlasting arms
Wash away her sins and lift her spirit to you
For she has earned her wings of golden tone
And now can rejoiced with her own Father and Mother
In God's jubliee Kingdom Let us pray {Amen]

Here i sit
In the Country of my Scots
We are Albannach
Celts, we are taught

For many, many years
Our clans have fought and fought
Races have invaded our shores
But our freedom can not be bought

Our Clans are segmented throughout my lands,
in times of good we are in clannish dispute, and in
times of hardship, we congeal and unite as one

My questions and words, if you are there
You are obliged to listen, as i am here

If you are a teller, your words should be strong
Do you speak like Semaj, like his words do belong

I see these scrolls, from many years in worlds past
Written by elders, hidden to last
Their words of wisdom, powerful they may be
Come with me to the future, to the land of thee

These indigenous lands, spirits so free
In natures portfolio, they are the decree

For over two thousand years, religion has ruled.
Have we been taken in, and now in blinkered rule.
Do we look back to the Heathens, the Pagans the Mayans
where we look to our leaders, and their suppression
      we rely on

Scriptures, books and scrolls, the writers of wisdom.
The elders of nations, in current living kingdoms
Without a book, there is no story, no paragraphs,
      no believable glory.

In the modern days before 2012, in the world of Semaj
words can be heard. Tittle tattle about this and that,
once our worlds gone, that's that

                    A word in your ear
                    From father to son
Hear the word that I say
                    I fought with you
                    Fought on your side
                    Long before you were born
                    Joyful the sound
                    The word goes around
From father to son to son.

( Lyrics by Queen of Queen II )

My entry into Matt Caliri contest " If i Could Talk to God "

http://www.thehighlanderspoems.com/life-6.php

A Father and a Friend

It seems like I owe you my life

More or less at least half of my time

To dedicate, a better way to express the way I feel

Maybe a walk, or maybe we can talk

About our relationship

You saved me since, I paid attention

And the spirit hasn’t escaped me since

If I had one last breath, I’d breathe again

If I had a moment to spend, I’d be with Him

As I’m prepared for when He comes

And save my life to live and trust

That God watches over me

As a father and a friend

When there are times I feel alone your there for me

While caught between a storm, there is relief

During the times I feel confused

Learning that life conceals its truth

Hoping a light reveals the root

And a way for me to see

I can talk to you in the morning while I’m awake

Or on vacation away from the pain I hide away

As my father and my friend

From all I depend in you

How could I replace

Abba

Abba the father my heart cries out to you.
I am corner stoned with all I will ever be.
I reach high and climb the skies just to see.
I am in a world so confused it is hard to do.

Abba the father my soul just passes through.
I come to you and I am down on bended knee.
I have a soul begging for justice to be set free.
I am in a world where corruptions make new.

I am searching the distance,
Documenting my presence,
Absorbing life’s existence,
Developing omnipresence!

As this world shatters and shakes,
The Earth begins to violently quake.

Seek

Seek, if ye will find.
Knock, if the door will not open.
"Will the father whose son asks for bread give him a stone?
So much more will your heavenly father give you
those good things you ask for."
I on my knees asked for understanding.
I asked for light.
I asked for truth.
I did not ask for more than I needed
in material things.
But I asked for more than I needed
in matters of God and truth.
I learned how ignorant and crude and low
my mind was, how much my soul
needed expansion,
and above all, how much love
was missing.
By the time my knees had become
pillars of stone
I
understood.

Walking In Graceland

I'm moving up to graceland
you know that mansion over the hilltop
to have just a little talk with jesus
for I don't knock upon his doors
for I know the gates swing open
how great thou art
that we're blessed
in the wonderful grace of jesus
for it's written in red
as I was made a christian
and saw the light while
strolling down beulual lane
out in the sunshine
dear father in heaven
we all can do good
something beautiful
even a whispering hope
sitting down by the old rugged cross
take my hand
precious lord
don't leave me crying in the chapel
move me to your higher ground
crossing the river of jordan
fill my cup lord
to let me rise again
for without you I haven't got a prayer
so please take me as I am jesus
for I'll remain tried and true
for I know there's somebody bigger than you or I
in this wonderment of thy amazing grace
