Best Vessel Poems
Misinformed as ever was,
as sad as sad can be,
for no one cared or dared to love
a creature such as she.
Time rolls past and in its’ dust
she wonders where it’s gone,
left standing still with faded eyes,
a vessel dreaming on.
As crazy-paved as garden paths,
and blinder than a tree,
holding court with ghosts of kids
who never lived to be.
Imagined loves she never met,
no truth to rest upon,
just make-believe and pharmacy
a vessel dreaming on.

From blog,
That Life Extends Its Seeds Beyond Our Mortal Coils,
Wherein Truth And Light Sets A Saving Path
My Dylan Tribute poem,
Second poem
Man Is More Than A Vessel Stranded Out At Sea,
Second Tribute Poem to Dylan Thomas
That life may floweth into sad years of old age
Flailing against savage cuts that bring frothing rage
We in our mortal weakness are but flesh and bone
Oft sailing within storms as world's darkness is blown
Seeking life and wonderment on every page
Even if a lost actor on an empty stage
Railing against Time and Fate, and the great unknown
Only to have dreams trampled and peace overthrown!
Whether in the midst of ones' life and joy thus brought
Or befuddled by the chaos of lies when caught
Heart and soul must act as caretaker of ones' life
Wake to thank the morn, overcome the daily strife
Remember that life is a most precious gift
And life sets mystic patterns that eternally shift
Look at the beaming sun, speak well thanking each day
Search for happiness with sincere praise bow to pray!
In this mortal life walk a true and peaceful path
Try to avoid those steeped in rampaging wrath
Search deep for the magnificent bounty of love
Ever look skyward, plead for blessings from above
Hold to the wisdom- life tis a sweet gift from God
For the truth is upon this dark earth we must trod
Man is more than a vessel stranded out at sea
There is a close link between Heaven, God and thee!

Rhyme, ( In Life, Good And Bad Are The Perils We Must Face )
Second Tribute poem to Dylan Thomas..
Note :
After being stumped for days -this came to me this morn.
Spent the day, rewriting and editing. Finally decided that
this is it. As a poet I have said what I wanted and thus
honored the man, the poet as to the best of my ability
to do so… This came after 3 other poems were written
and then trashed.. God bless..

This weathering vessel that casts about
A barge adrift in the river of lies.
My crumbling ship, my hopes all cast in doubt
I navigate past cults of crying eyes.
This rusting old tanker betrays my flame
My boy joy driving fervent flaring glare.
I’m no match for terror by any name
Scant my Ali fist-words striking the air.
This floating worn casket my last cradle
I can’t go while hate burns from the sewers.
And Earth seethes and chokes fumes unnatural
But who breathes once guns fire from hate’s snipers?
I cruise this clumsy tub to open sea
And give my dwindling days to speak freely.

Sonnet
My voice is a hollow vessel
where words spiral down
into a whirling dust storm
and exit dirty and unwanted
as if riding on the hooks
of some God-forsaken 120 degree desert.
No specific value has ever been
assigned to the words
that stick in my throat
and always leave like
a mumbled mishmash-
a jar of miscellaneous buttons
with threads pieces
hanging on in disbelief.
A lone vowel has gone off
like a disciplined child-
her pink mary jane's scruffing
the barren sidewalk with utter disdain.
Consonants drift and drown
into a muddled pond
overgrown with hanging algae.

That's not your father lying there.
That's simply a temporary vessel from the Lord, a spare.
His soul is in Heaven with his lovely wife.
He's no longer in pain in this worldly life.
He's risen to Heaven to be with our Father.
His blindness and weakness no longer a bother.
He's made new again; he can see, he can run.
I promise in Heaven, he's having way more fun.
He was a blessing to many here on this earth,
and he loved his family for all he was worth.
We will laugh, we will cry remembering his many years.
We will mourn and shed all of the emotional tears.
We thank you God for his time here with us.
But, we know you now need him more than us.
We will see you again, only next time will be greater.
We'll not only see him, but also our Creator.

I wish I were empty,
I could easily be filled with that which is from God.
Yet I have been filled with the things of this world.
Pour out my Self,
fill me with the Spirit,
the good gifts from God.
I am but a vessel,
that which enter me is that of which I am full.
I must fill myself with that which is from God,
I must surround myself with Him,
so He is that of which I am full.
Fill me up Lord.
For when I am full of You,
....of Your Love,
....of Your Word,
that is who I will be
....Your Love.
Fill me with Your Love Lord.
I will travel through this world,
I will not be swayed by worldly temptations.
The more of You that lives in me
the more of You there is to fill this world.
Use my body as Your Vessel
to bring the world to You
....to Your Glory
....to Your Grace
....to Your Mercy
....and Your Love.
Fill me, Lord, with Your Great Love.

Lyric
I was once a beautiful vessel
Brimming with wine at the king's table
Uniquely made
A vessel of inestimable value
Admired by the guest who eat from the king's table
One day the king found another vessel
I was no where to be found around the king's table
The king's guest forgot i ever existed
I was thrown out
The ash heap adopted me
The rodents found in me a place to dwell
But time gave me a second chance
The potter found me
He washed me clean
I've found a new place to stay
I dwell amongst the potter's vessels
The potter knows my colour
shape and purpose
I'm far from perfection
Though perfectly imperfect
He has displayed me for all to see
The ash heap which thought i was ruined
I'm elevated
High on the potter's shelf
And once again
I,m a beautiful vessel unto honour

Narrative
God preordained vessels for His design
before time and eternity so long ago
that He would use to suit His purpose
to do His will particularly in close align
These vessels would be earth bound people
one’s chosen in God’s sovereign plan
to carry out His words upon the earth
across the fullness of His historical span
They would walk in varieties of service
shining God’s light to all they meet
seeking to minister divine mercy and love
symbolically humbly washing each one’s feet
Spreading forth God’s truth to all the race
knowing God’s hand firmly set upon us
marked with godly hearts filled with grace
pray that each one would be a vessel

Blind like a ghost you cannot see,
oblivious to their surroundings
until it smacks them in the face.
The heartbeat of a soulmate connects
to the beating vessel we call love,
two hearts beat as one excited to embark on a journey leading them to a place they never knew exiisted.
Relationships have taken a wrong turn throughout the years and yet love found them right where they are, stranded feeling hopeless
with a fear of never loving again.
The unexpected begins,
two hearts grow ever closer leaving the past whisked away with the wind.
everyday grows stronger realizing the chosen one is by yourside sailing to a beautiful place,
a place that so many have seen, and yet so few have known.

14:Passages plot themselves on maps
To get you somewhere.
Pour your soul into a hollow vessel
For the archaeologist to find.
To replicate each moment’s sound
Will never bring satisfaction
perhaps exaggerate boredom
Definitely annoy reactions
Because the vessel's form is unnecessary
There is no catch-all for past rains.

This boat is full,
A vessel overflowing.
In darkness people talk.
A child is crying.
I close my eyes,
Lock out the world.
I envision drab gloom
As sunlight on my begging husk;
The damp frazzles
As lightweight trunks
Around my gaunt calves.
We left, so many nights ago,
I lost count, it doesn't matter.
Deferment of death.
I saw them go...
Such euphemism, such irony...
I count and wait with serenity,
Dream my dream of
Spacious green meadows,
Chanting larks.
I left it all behind,
My memories I buried
With my bare hands.
I fertilized the dust
With drops of saline tears.
Alone I am, alone.
Soon this journey ends.
My eyes are closed,
My thoughts are fleeing,
I send them to freedom.
This boat is full,
A vessel overflowing.
In darkness people howl,
A child is dying.

Prose Poetry
I now live for Jesus and Jesus lives in me
I feel His creation as to who He wanted me to be
As I read His Words, my heart and mind begins to remember
Of how much God truly loves me; stretching his arms a-cross forever
And from His strife’s He has paved the road, brick by brick as for the sins I owed
I have lived long enough independent, in my own understanding, who am I kidding?
I know now that I can’t do it on my own, I need the Holy Spirit, so I’ll never be alone
It took me awhile to know I am free; my heart was blinded by the world’s philosophy
But now is the time to put the old things away and breathe this day in a special way
It’s now time for the art to do the creating; following the path where God is waiting
I now ask you, whoever is reading this, come with me in search for a spiritual bliss
I promise you, you’ll not going to be sorry; where God is, you’re part of the story
We are brothers and sisters, you and I; we are destined to live beyond the sky
We’re born as a reflection of our father’s Father; blessed by the Holy water
If by chance you’re wondering where you are, in our journey in the dark
We are heading straight home towards the light; you’re in Noah’s Ark

Moves in a uncontrolled

The Earthen Vessel
Why the Lord has chosen earthen vessels
is still a mystery to me,
the Glory of the Lord descending upon them
all because of the work on Calvary.
But an earthen pot is so unstable
till His Spirit abides within,
able to strengthen us because of our weakness
and help us to overcome every sin.
For I know that in my earthly vessel
alone, I cannot stand,
but learning to call on my Father’s help in time of need
He’s always near to give me a helping hand.
And sometimes, these vessels of ours
do not do the things that we ought,
but remembering He is the Great Potter
truly satisfies this little pot.
Now Lord, help this vessel to be one of honor
so on it Your Glory may fill,
that I can stand up for Jesus’ sake
and promptly answer Your sweet call.
