I can no longer touch you
But here you are, still
Oh, how remnants of you continue to cling!
You're the motes I see dancing in the sunbeam
Your eyes will never again meet mine
But here you are, still
You're the gentle wind that continues to blow
the stormclouds out of my sky.
I'll never again hear your voice
But here you are, still
You're the rays of the sun beaming down
like a thousand moonbleams over my stygian abyss
You're forever out of sight
But here you are, still
You'll always be on my mind, and in my heart;
I still see you in dreams undreamt, in stars above.
So, you see, Dad, although...
I can no longer touch you,
Your eyes will never again meet mine,
I'll never again hear your voice,
and you're forever out of sight,
You're still here with me in spirit.
You never really left.

The icicles that grow for years
and slowly cry then drop and die
in liquid pools of frozen tears.
The pain that builds within a lie;
lives that wait for want of love
and slowly cry then drop and die.
Prayers for kind hearts undreamt of
in a world of cold despair;
lives that wait for want of love.
No shelter from the winter air -
longing for a warm embrace
in a world of cold despair.
Where they're gone without a trace,
hopes that freeze before they drip,
longing for a warm embrace.
From this world they gladly slip -
the icicles that grow for years;
hopes that freeze before they drip
in liquid pools of frozen tears.

I, Ram, breathed in this world
In the town once ruled by Lord Krishna
Ever since I have counted his blessings
And with His grace have kept on stepping.
Though born in a family of a teacher
Received all the attention from my parents
That encouraged me to be in the noblest profession.
Culminating into D.Litt. from the most respected
Organization, World Congress of poets (UNO)
At Los Angeles, an undreamt honor so far.
Once I had been attacked by Cancer in 1994
But it was totally cured with clean health.
Cancer came to cancel me but I cancelled cancer.
Lord, has given me healthy body never to
Bother how many medicine tablets to be taken.
And freedom to take care of my passions I love
Other things being looked after by my children.
At 80, all my senses are active and quite in command
Traveled over four continents and still to travel but
Ready and waiting to leave any time, if my Lord desires
With no unsolved Karmic problems un-ruptured,
But with atonement, ready to be judged by Him
I wait but still keep on stepping, counting his blessings.

In ignorance, bliss!
This bottom rung,
we speak as we choose
and that gets the job done.
Yes, ignorance mired
in language unkempt-
the parlance of paupers,
ill-regarded, undreamt.
In tolerance, wise!
This highest rung-
we speak as the learned
and get the job done.
Where lofty words sing
amidst high-minded mind-
the old tongues of conflict,
new tongues now refine.
In limbo, angst!
This middle rung-
the higher won't save us,
the lower we shun.
Just enough rope payed out,
just enough slack-
For me and Pygmalion
to launch our attack.

Rhyme
Your melody whispers, "Stay,"
Grazing me all the way deep to my depths' deep,
Breathing closely, closer into my blues, a clever wheeze.
Like a callow breeze, I feel it deeper in my soul,
Caressing my heart in every part, making me whole.
O, please, will you be my Kazungula bridge, so strong and true?
Will you be there for me when I need you, through and through?
When I need to feel you to the inner deepness, like Mambo's reggae strings,
That bit to my inner deepness, disputing my choice of wings.
Will you be my Seboba water rapids, rushing wild and free?
To hold me well-held in devious holders, undreamt of, yet to be.
In your gentle touch, I find my peaceful nest,
A refuge from life's turmoil, where love is at its best.
Your melody, a balm, soothes my troubled mind,
A symphony of love, that forever will be aligned.
Like a river's flow, your love will never cease,
A constant presence, that brings me to my knees.
In your embrace, I find my home, my heart's desire,
A love that's pure and true, that sets my soul on fire.
So, will you be my Kazungula bridge, my guiding light?
Will you be there for me, through the dark of night?
When I need to feel you, to the inner deepness of my soul,
Will you be my Seboba water rapids, making my heart whole?

Her words were mumbled unprovoked and put him through the grinder
minced they were tearing apart they hurt like a dagger so he finally knew
where his heart was dismembered as it stood still one sentence then silence
No stream no consciousness emotion arrested a world destroyed broken shattered
He picked up the pieces the fragments shards of an ugly mosaic coloured in black
The cutting edge of glass penetrated into frozen blood in icy veins turning tattooing
engraving the twisted knife chopping torturing where passion kindness love
had once been the messenger grinning at the grisly gristle ground to the core
With surgical precision her scalpel incised at the flesh scarred in a flash razor
wire ligatures asphyxiating suffocating mortal wounded lost mindless soul
Denervation ensured neurochemical transmitters flowing into nothing a wide open
schism fissures fission exploding with nowhere to venture a road not yet travelled
Blessed in disguise of disaster her words grew into an unlikely story of hope of
a mixture of memories retold new pathways narration novel meaning of words
No more mill stone weighing the rope round the severed necklace of horror
he found undreamt off passion with a new soulmate and lover a poet tree in motion
Weaving kindness now sensual emotional reason scribed on paper fantasy clouds
written on dreams healing momentum of moments nights and cinnamon bark
their sizzling skins their touches feelings new found beauty make love and make
loving and making love with words and with lived meaning worthwhile again

An unwatered seed is simply a dream undreamt
Quench the seed's thirst, and a dream will sprout
Water the soil, lest your dream rots in the dirt
An unwatered seed is simply a dream undreamt
Turn on the garden hose and let the water spurt
Plant and feed your goals, never leave em' in doubt
An unwatered seed is simply a dream undreamt
Quench the seed's thirst, and a dream will sprout

Please purpose pure
Loiter lost lure
Embrace each end
Apt aim attends
Sense something still
Use urge until

Prompt primal play
Line limpid lay
Etch empathy
Ask actively
Shout screaming sham
Unfurl undreamt
Reach rude recoil
Endings embroil
Piquant pleasure
Lively leisure
Endowments ease
Answers appease
Sensuous success
Union undressed
Respite reeling
Effort etching
Play placid plan
Love lusting lend
Explore endings

Surprise surrounds
Unleash unbound
Richness restored
Expound explore

Urgent unease
Rowdy rich race
Endow embrace

Acrostic
In the drowse, a blinking street lamp
watchful eye of sort.
Once half seen flame, the beacon flickers
amidst the cobbled slumber.
Awakened by one ray of hope,
the sleeping nation rose.
In perfumed glory, freedom rang,
undreamt, their dreams emerged
to light the New Dawn brightest on
not red, not white, not blue,
but on the Lady's shadowed grace
to witness shore to shore.
And as my trembling hand embraced
the light that once seemed dim,
I wiped a sea of tears away
having lived to see this day.

Free verse
we gently pray upon our desire
or maybe our desire preys upon us
recoil in disgust at the muck and mire
only to answer, "what's all the fuss?"
life's joys and private hells undreamt of
scale's fulcrum tipping the balance of power
recoiling from the pain of our own love
and the similarity of "devout" and "devour"
Pavlovian, we turn to the bell ringing
for a scrap of nourishment or tender care
too often to find indifference stinging
is all that others have offered there
how can we anthologize a life
without including a rhyming of strife?

Sonnet
Cradled in a crescent moon;
babes that haven't reached the womb.
Snuggled up in undreamt dreams;
puppies, hugs and candy themes.
Angels singing lullaby's.
Love's light twinkles in their eyes.
Some are lasses, some are lads,
waiting for their moms and dads.

Rhyme
Take things easy in journey air,
Seize moments calm where silence heals;
Wonder sets free that vital flair,
Feel that sure balm that soothes and fills.
There are worlds here beyond mere sight,
Look deeper then to inner realms
Let wonder steer true paths of light,
Joy knows just when that dream undreamt.
Follow your heart that leads you well,
Discern the proof with reason fond;
Let soul impart true sense that tells,
Embrace pure truth as purpose spawns.
Bit by bit see with eyes made whole,
The light floods glow in certain show;
Just let things be in ambient poles,
A deep touch knows the cause of flow.
Thus retreat deep beyond empty,
Greet a grand core of mystic mind;
Deeper than sleep that vital sea,
Watch spirit pour more than mere finds.
Watch as you face that healing grace,
Here love divine awaits to heal;
Here time and space forgets all trace,
Watch mystic lines inspire goodwill.
Love moves all things beyond shadows,
For darkness hides the inner gem;
So gently bring a centred glow,
Stride beyond pride to glimpse love's stem.
Dance with the light in vivid spheres,
Come to know well fond mystery;
Chance and change sight the profound here,
Now dare to dwell calm harmony.
Greet a kind face that knows you well,
A mother's kiss, a father's touch;
Hold on to grace in healing spell,
Love that you miss floods more than much.

Grace in void vast,
Reach in stillness;
Enter at last,
Earn a witness;
Keep deep silence,
Meet pulse within;
Yes feel instance,
Touch things unseen;
Hoist a knowing,
Observe a glow;
Live a loving,
Obvious veiled show;
Glimpse a still realm,
Yield dream undreamt!

Sonnet
Hello my baby doll
You will always be
An amazing bestowal of god
for your loving Dad
that was born with
an astounding will
emblazoned in your black eyes
were an undreamt-of and incredible
waves of inquisitiveness and
all the ups and downs in my life
were written off and forgotten
on the auspicious occasion
you were born and
I could imagine
my never unfulfilled dreams
fly high in the blue sky
I could now encounter
dark clouds of
disillusion and desolation
