Nature the Best Teacher

The peacock with spread-out plume,
Dances to Nature's tune,
The sun's fadeless glow,
The monsoon's rainbow,
Isn't our Nature,
Very spectacular?

The preaches of the priests,
They themselves don't practice!
The teachers teach,
A mere printed speech!
Mother Nature expresses,
What she really is!

Nature is wiser than the wisest----
Of the Nobel-laureates.
Read no books,
Experience how Nature looks!
She is a better teacher,
Than a priest or a schoolmaster!!

(In Indian subcontinent the
verb 'preach' is many a times
 used as 'noun'.)

Premium Member Song of Love

In the dream of a night, Lone under the hilly starry night,
The fog stayed soul-deep as visions of truth, and the tall redwood trees stood as spirits of truth,
The bouncing ocean waves signified loving spirits, and the flowing creek brought peaceful spirits,
In that magical valley in the land of sleep, I found myself half asleep.

Lone under the hilly starry night, Bouncing waves brought spirit of love for the night,
Gather and gleam round my delicate youth, And I saw the majesty of redwood trees in the spirits of Truth;
To quench my longing, I bent me low, By the creeks of the spirits of Peace that flow,
In that magical valley in the land of sleep, I found myself half asleep.

Poem adapted from the following "Song of A Dream" by Sarojni Naidu.

ONCE in the dream of a night I stood
Lone in the light of a magical wood,
Soul-deep in visions that poppy-like sprang;
And spirits of Truth were the birds that sang,
And spirits of Love were the stars that glowed,
And spirits of Peace were the streams that flowed
In that magical wood in the land of sleep.

Lone in the light of that magical grove,
I felt the stars of the spirits of Love
Gather and gleam round my delicate youth,
And I heard the song of the spirits of Truth;
To quench my longing I bent me low
By the streams of the spirits of Peace that flow
In that magical wood in the land of sleep.

The Cradle Song

When your dreams are suppressed
I am here don’t be depressed
When you feel like dropping a tear
Go ahead release your fear

There are too many ways to heal a broken heart
But there a re too little ways to make a new start
All you can do is to listen as nature sings the cradle song
Even if for a while you will realize that you are strong

When the wind is pushing you
I am here to help you pull through
When your eyes cannot see
I help you get to where you want to be

There are too many ways to heal a broken heart
But there a re too little ways to make a new start
Al you can do is to listen as nature sings the cradle song
Even if for a while you will realize that you are strong

Your journey is not that easy my friend
I know it’s time for this nightmare to end
Close your eyes and feel my cradle song
I’m sure I’ll be with you before long

There are too many ways to heal a broken heart
But there a re too little ways to make a new start
Al you can do is to listen as nature sings the cradle song
Even if for a while you will realize that you are strong

Sleep tight
Let me kiss you one last goodnight
One last goodbye
Through this lullaby

Premium Member The Daffodils’ Song to Nesting Robins

In spring's caress, daffodils hum low,
Robins weave nests as rain begins to flow.
Gentle drops fall, a lullaby so sweet,
In rhythms soft, where earth and sky meet.

Daffodils' song, ever so brief in time,
Fades beneath rain's melodious chime.
Yet in this moment, life anew is blessed,
As robins toil at crafting their soft nest.

Warm spring rain bathes each petal, leaf, wing,
A cradle for life that blooms in spring.
Robins and flowers in harmony dwell,
Under rain's enchanting, soothing spell.

And with each drop, a symphony so fine,
Nature's own lullaby, by design divine.
In joyous dance, where fleeting moments nest,
Spring weaves its magic, earth is dressed.

Premium Member UNEXPECTED AUTUMN

The colours haven’t changed yet in the Autumn trees
Yet many have already lost their Summer leaves
Often in the past songbird’s chanting you would hear
But no birds are seen nor heard anywhere near this year

On the mountain top Winter has brought some early snow
To forest floors where wild pigs roam and poison mushrooms grow
This is a country place where people are loud and crude
Sometimes you can hear unwanted talk that strikes as very rude

I would never have chosen to live in this place here
But it was just the flow of life, a stroke of fate, destiny
For in this life of ours we live so hard and dear
Many things happen quite unexpectedly
