Best Mockers Poems
I wonder:
If we believe that Jesus Christ is the only BEGOTTEN Son of God,
Do we get a free ride into heaven?
Yes and No!
Yes, because Jesus overcame the grave and was resurrected,
We all will likewise be resurrected.
We have been saved from eternal demise…because of Jesus.
…And perfection!
And NO because if we fail to forgive, we will not be forgiven…so Jesus said!
I ask, then, will we obtain exaltation if we disapprove of another and condemn him?
(We MUST leave that responsibility to God who can read the heart?)
Can we censure, disparage, denounce, rebuke, defile, slam, attack, find fault, knock,
reproach, scorn, or criticize and still be held blameless during our own judgment?
Is it enough to say, “I am sorry, please forgive me”? Then, dismiss our human
weakness?
Or must we teach ourselves to STOP!
If we ridicule, tease, and make fun of another,
Do we deny ourselves of higher spirituality?
I say, “Yes!”
Understanding, compassion, and pure love diminish.
If we judge others, we will be judged likewise.
If we forgive others, we will be forgiven likewise.
Jesus said, “Yes!”
Forgiveness teaches love, tolerance, and understanding.
Blaming teaches hatred, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.
The choice is ours to make.
Will we spend our hearts and souls making fun of another for personal amusement?
Or might we, instead, look inside the hearts of another with Christ-like wisdom?
Life is a learning process; love takes practice.
Good luck to all who seek righteousness and exaltation.
For eternal life is more than a game of wits.
It is a competition between righteousness and wickedness.
The choice is ours and it is free!
What choose you, this day?
God help us all!
When you an important exam fail,
It’s like you’ve stepped on a nail,
As worrisomely you ail
And seem not a little pale.
At suspected mockers you rail
And at those who would you hail,
For as long as they close to you sail
With scarcely trusted redeeming tale…
You’re a prisoner’s heart beating for a bail
But no consoling news from the mail:
Your harsh father to put you up for sale!

dread locks dreaded
climbing my stereo type

intrusions made upon peace
the cleaved disfigures clung
swallowing thumb tack thoughts
provoked beyond the reasoning in sanity
howled moons shadow stars guidance
here they are guiding rings to me
sorting through halo rainbows

*I admit we're putting on quite a carnival for the world to see.
Putting our worst clown foot forward.
Fighting one another over rolls of toilet paper
Scorching our foundation, juggling our fragile humanity.
Because of an exception to the rule-
A tin star clown is looting the gold from our souls.
Putting one rotting apple on the windowsill,
For all the world to see.
We're putting on quite a show, aren't we?
Now you cock roaches come out of the woodwork
to kick us when we're down.
To lay our stars and stripes six feet underground.
We the people get our act together.
When we put our clown feet back in the closet.
When the smoke clears, and the stars re-emerge.
The mockers will come knocking on our door to get in.
Demanding things from the one they put down.
Hey mockers, even at our worst, we remain the shining model for the world.
The torch to light your dark caves, to show you the way out...
Democracy is a constant debriding-a molting of the soul.
We are in a painful molting phase right now.
The eagle is grounded temporarily.
This battered bird will come out lighter and stronger.
Fly higher than ever before.
Ask old King George or Adolph or Bin Laden.
Mockers like you will retreat into your dank holes.
Still yapping as your mental visas run their course.
Today, I ponder…
Paraphrasing what Jesus said,
As a man thinks…so he is…
If he criticizes, slams, knocks others, and shows scorn,
Will he become a hard-hearted, insensitive, bigot, unworthy of heaven?
If he makes fun of another for his own amusement,
Will the heavenly hosts laugh when he walks up to the judgment bar?
(Or will they mourn deeply for the loss of a brother?)
We ask God to forgive us as we forgive others.
I ask myself, “How am I at forgiving others?”
Paraphrasing what Jesus said,
As a man forgives…is he likewise forgiven?
If he does NOT forgive, is he, then, not forgiven?
If a man condemns, censures, and makes harsh judgments,
Will he then be condemned, censured and judged harshly
…at final judgment?
What will Jesus do?
Will he feel the pain of our lacking?
Will he take action against the unforgiving?
He has taken action in the past!
He threw over the money changing tables in the temple
Because they dishonored Heavenly Father –
Do we dishonor forgiveness when we judge others?
