Train 57

I hear your voice and read your words
But your not here
I breathe this muggy air without respite
Look
To a space in your bed that I'll aquire
Listen
To the words I'll whisper in your ear
Feel the empty space inside my arm
When I awake to pull you closer
Your not here

You read your book and watch the sunset
That same red sun is setting here
Still time to count the miles in between us
Look!
There's iron tracks that fill the distance
Listen!
To the whistle drawing near
Stay awake for just a little longer
The train is slowing down and I am here

Blind Knowledge

I stretch my hands in the moisty space ahead,
hoping to know the face I ever wanted to see.
But hope fades when there is no such of thee,
and now I know what is simply to be dead.

I stretch my hands again in the space in front,
hoping to know the exit of this such pain.
But I know again I will be trapped in vain,
looking for the one I surely know is far beyond.

But even though I stretch my hands to the sky,
begging Lord to give me the power to glance,
just one time the way my eyes have to spy.

And then I’ll know for sure I’ll have the chance,
to stretch my hungry fingers instead of die,
To watch the soul I always meant to find.

Thorn Bird

Do I know the futility of words
Unfortunately I do
To speak and yet be unheard

as the thorn bird knows it's destiny
So does the heart

To be speared upon the very branch of which it thrived
Always in silence
Not once has the sound of resolve been heard
As solemn as the flight of wild wings

Do I understand this?
No, I do not
All that I feel
In that silent space within
Is the pain of the dying bird

Wings that no longer beat
As destiny claims her stake

My heart falls victim to her snare
Upon the branches of the vine
Speared and spilled
My love like blood
Bleeds from a wound that none can see

Under the disguise of natural causes
I die before your eyes
Hoping with my failing strength
In the silent space within
You felt it too

Love of Time

The faster that I move thru time,
The longer you will miss me,
3 million of your blinks define,
The one since you last kissed me...
As I leave what still remains,
Beyond my point of origin,
Time will free me just the same,
So our paths are not insurging ...
Even as I turn around,
I can see you left behind me,
Bent in space without a sound,
As the fabric tears inside me...
Which opens up the other doors,
We never knew existed,
In the space between the floors,
And places that its shifted...
I believe someday I'll find,
The one thing that's forever,
If the Love I have for time,
Is what's keeping us together...

The Space

This empty space
Left by you
Gone
So far away unseen
This hole burns
My soul yearns
For your touch unfelt;
Laughter unheard
Come quickly, speed
Your return
And fill the space
The hole
You left behind

For You, and You Know Who You Are.....

In the infinite space of a second,
 you disapeared from my life,
no amount of searching
 and unanswered messages
brought you back to me.
In the space of an infinite second,
 love was lost,
your promises broken.
and in the infinite space of a second,
I had to carry my heart,
with a hole in it, seeping pain into my soul.
All in the infinite space of a second.......
