Train 57

I hear your voice and read your words
But your not here
I breathe this muggy air without respite
Look
To a space in your bed that I'll aquire
Listen
To the words I'll whisper in your ear
Feel the empty space inside my arm
When I awake to pull you closer
Your not here

You read your book and watch the sunset
That same red sun is setting here
Still time to count the miles in between us
Look!
There's iron tracks that fill the distance
Listen!
To the whistle drawing near
Stay awake for just a little longer
The train is slowing down and I am here
