Best Lost Lovepeople Poems

Frustration!

[This is more of a RANT than poetry, I apologize.]

Some people say they fear being alone.
I am one of these people.
However, I fear being in a crowded room,
and feeling alone, more so.

You'd think if you feared something,
you would do your best to avoid it at any cause,
but not for me.
I feel alone, every single day.
No matter who I'm with, or where I am.
I guess maybe this is how it's going to be,
for the rest of my life.
This is who I am,
and I'm not going to change myself,
just to fit in.
I've seen people all around me become
fakes and phonies.

I'm generally quiet.
I don't intend to change that for a loud world.

I have a brain.
I don't intend to run my mouth to prove it.

I have feelings.
But I don't intend to let anyone know.

Maybe someday you'll see,
what it's like to be,
hated for who you are.

You walked away with a part of me that day.
A part of my soul,
my heart,
my life.
I don't think I"ll ever muster the courage to get it back.

You took the happiness from my smile,
my pride,
my heart,
and you're doing everything in your power,
to ensure that I never get it back.

It sucks waking up every morning
disappointed in yourself,
for letting someone who doesn't even care about you,
run your life;
for not having control &
for not letting go of something..

...that should be SO easy.

23:34 - Doppelganger

I've been looking for people who look like you.
You'll never be here, so they'll have to do.
I hate that you smile in a similar way,
Yet I need the resemblance, and can't look away.

I've been loving the people who look like you.
And it hurts that it's not, but what else can I do?
You made me so happy, but left me in tears,
I'm lonelier now than I have been in years.

I'm losing the people who look like you,
Please don't say that I'm losing you too.

It Hurts

It's not just pain
It's what it;s compared to that we say
Our actions that we made
Gave us memories to chase
I think about those days
Knowing people felt that pain
Got cut, bruised up, or stained
I just know people felt that pain
It hurts seeing the time we shared
Nothing no one else can compare
Turn to dust and blown by air
Tears coming down to stare
How can you dare
To leave me there
It's not just pain
Knowing I can compare

I'Ll Still Be Here

Walk the halls as if you own them,
show off what we all know you have.
Be happy. You don't need me, your to good for me.
Show people that i'm just someone you dated. it's okay...I'll still be here.

Don't blame yourself for what I did.
Just act like I never existed, like I never hurt you, like we never dated.
Put the past behind you.
Your an amazing person, don't let people see your weaknesses.

You're strong, you're independent, you're...you.
Just forget about me and put all the bad memories away.
But once you do that...don't fall for me, don't make the same mistake.
I know you can do it.

I believe in you.
Just erase me and the memories we shared.
It's okay, because no matter what,
I'll still be here.
