Watch For Pickpockets
Watch for Pickpockets By Elton Camp The prospect of a trip to the Big Easy Made me more than a little queasy I’d had visited in New Orleans before And now the danger was even more It was because of the unease that I felt I put wallet away & used a money belt It was into a crowded café I did slip While waiting I felt a hand on my hip Because I am quite old, fat and bald I didn’t think it meant a gay did call My empty pocket took him by surprise As I could tell by the look in his eyes Through the crowd he made a mad dash I decided I wouldn’t do anything rash Since any of my money he failed to get I decided why should I now have a fit But if New Orleans doesn’t control crime To draw tourists they’ll have a hard time But how much judgment can there be In a city built below the level of the sea
