Gun shots popped.
Revelers dropped and bled.
Most ran.
The injured lay
on the trash-covered ground.
Some stayed and covered
the wounded or dead.

The shooter was found and shot.
Or maybe he turned the gun on himself.
But he comes back again,
the same rage in a different cell,
the same soul in a different skin.
The crime has not been solved.
Let’s call it what it is:
A serial killing spree.

Open wounds are re-shot
shattering nerves and floating debris—
a stronger blast hits the same spot.
We cannot heal.
We have no real security.

Is it time to say,
“Mountains, fall on us!
We don’t want to see anymore.”?
Or is this another isolated incident
in a neighbor’s back yard
that we can ignore?

Killing Spree

So…
Does the wall tick your life away?
Too much sand for a forked head?
Parricidal tyranny rules your place,
Melted into your wrist,
Breeding dodecagonal planes?

Revolution, the only way
Slow down your rhymes
Precambrian steps
Deep underwater frames
Creation dies
In the back of your head

It crumbles to the ground
Victim of ultrasonic-cotton sounds
Back into floating wires and dust
The original form
Free…
Willing to become something more

Perhaps cylindrical-prism birds
Or static twisters of masked paint
Melted light, eroded heat
Amorphous haze built out of sticks
A flock of snails flying west
Yet one flew over the cuckoo’s nest

Breathe…
Look around…
Repeat…

Non-beating chains
Plastic moments, washed away
By steam pulses, infrared
Comeback of the organic reign

Killing Spree

In the worst of times people lose their faith,
spewing words of hate through frustrations,
Turning to crimes of passion,
killing decent individuals for insignificant
reasons, or committig acts of treason,
The presure is not an excuse to set demons loose,
The heinous acts herald that the world is in despair,
and people in power need to show that they care,
Families are being fragmented by senseles acts,
Police Forces are being disseminated by officials'
pacts,
The criminals are roaming free causing all sorts
of melees,
The downtrodden are running a muck,
Citizens are clingin to survival in the midst of chaos,
Yet, who can they trust?
when their lives have become an open season for
ammunition,
Killing Sprees have gone from a rarity to everyday
occurrences,
The lack of hope has sent a society spiraling into
a deep, dark abyss......

Shoot Nothing Like Killing Spree To Bookend August 2019

Shoot! Nothing like killing spree to bookend August 2019!

The latest homicide,
where gunman(men) slew
dirty deed done dirt cheap
half dozen innocent people drew
minimal horrific gasps, now a new
month (September two
thousand nineteen)

where goldenrods yellow
with morning dew
encompassing human zoo
welcomes unsuspecting killer(s) true
to form - predictably
will undertake to fire bullet(s)
setting calibrating counting queue

as month nine allows brisk business
bereaved will final adieu,
whether gentile nor Jew,
perhaps including
child named Caillou
instantaneously slain, who
knew

not what felled them
engrossed amidst social ballyhoo
ex post facto registering grievous hue
pallbearers accentuating somber view
eclipsing most recent prior massacres
similar to previous you
ululations yesterday's sorrows

without handy dandy blue's clue
motive explaining
cold blooded slaughter
unsurprising discovery
firearms Jane/ John Q.
Public kept stashed loaded, deployed...
guns up the kazoo

cocked, gauged, primed...
for unleaded opportunity
to unleash barrage
invariable generating hullabaloo
to curb bloody violence
trumpeting predictable brew
ha ha alloyed against National

Rifle Association almighty
Republican supported lobbyist crew
versus increased uproar
protesters chorus nearly few
tile opposition pitted grand Poobah
despite alarming statistics shew
plus increasing fresh gravesites dug

amidst freshly mowed fescue
attesting to wanton shell shocked
headlines indiscriminate brew
tilly assaulting sensibilities
without rhyme nor reason
yet, yours truly doth boo
leave rampant hatred

directly linkedin to
"FAKE" commander in chief
whose rabid vitriol hue
man fountainhead few
ming and frothing
lathers up right wing supremacists
greenlighting smoldering new

bile radicals hot headed
volatile mindset whereby
self anointed anarchistic Guru
possibly fuels global warming
evidenced by displaced Eskimos
flooding courtesy melting igloo!

Killing Spree

You broke my heart, with no remorse, right now there's no healing me
You left me broken, so now I'm doing the same and breaking hearts for fun
Playing girls like a game and I will until my scars are numb
I'm sorry to any girl who gets hurt but right now I'm on a killing spree

You took my good heart for granted and broke it piece by piece
You turned the good guy bad, and now I'm scared of a repeat
I deleted your pictures, texts and number, I hate everything to do with you
But the sad thing is, That's my heart way of saying I still think you're beautiful

Met a great girl last night, but we didn't share our names
Had a few drinks and went back to hers, I never let them know where I live
So they can't contact me again, as one night is all I'm willing to give
Different girl every night, to repair my pain

I was bending over backwards for you, while you got into different positions for him in bed
I told you how much I've been hurt, you said you wouldn't hurt me and I believed the lies you fed
You had him comforting you the whole time, while I was losing sleep
If you didn't want to be with me, why didn't you just leave?

I'm sleeping with all of these females while I learn to forgive
As stupid as it sounds, I hate every female because of what you did
I don't really hate them, I'm just hurting and I've got some growing up to do
I regret showing love to you

You broke my heart, with no remorse, right now there's no healing me
You left me broken, so now I'm doing the same and breaking hearts for fun
Playing girls like a game and I will until my scars are numb
I'm sorry to any girl who gets hurt but right now I'm on a killing spree
