The Secret To Beauty

There is a secret to beauty you know
And it doesn’t lie outside
It lies within those who believe
That they were made just right

It doesn’t depend on what you weigh
Or how you style your hair
It doesn’t account for imperfections
It simply doesn’t care

The secret is that we are all beautiful
Just the way we are
And our beauty shines from inside out
The better prize by far

"I have dipped my pen in the sublime, it is my gift to you"....A Rambling Poet

The youthful beauty of an unlined face,
Unsullied by the use that lies ahead
Has still the freshness of an unturned page.
A book to show its worth must have been read.
True fairness comes when beauty dwells within,
No need to fear effect of time’s swift pace.
Though chance of fate can its bright radiance dim
And leave sad mark on that beloved face.
Beauty untried is beauty quite unearned;
Fair to behold with worthiness unproved.
The cherished face with lines of living burned
Will to true lover surely be more loved.
The beauty not reflected in the glass
Remains when more apparent charms doth pass..

Beauty

My beauty transcends your comprehension of who I really be
Seeking to categorize me within your rolodex of previous victims
Sensing, smelling da insecurities of a broken man
I laugh
Hatred, venom reeking from your core as you watch Me
Celebrating my curvaceous lusciousness
No longer enslaved wit da unrealistic version of who I’m suppose to
Be
Look
Weigh
My beauty distinctively embedded
Inside of me
Growing like the tsunami tidal wave
See you can’t handle the truth of who I really be
So just love
Me

This is a shout out to all you men who feel like you have to break
women down because of your own personal insecurities
love us just as we love you

Unescape Artist

When you are an artist, you can't escape from it.
No matter how much you tell yourself
that you will starve,
that your'e stupid for wanting a useless degree,
that you should become an accountant;
you can't fight it.

Maybe because when it comes down to it,
you simply don't want to, or maybe its because
to fight against it is like warring against yourself instead of all the evil
around you.
And that is exactly why you can't.
Because in some inspiring,
self possessing way, it helps you
fight all the evil around you.
It becomes your sword, a way to cut through
the frivoluous,
to see the beauty that sustains us all.

And you want to know the most beautiful thing?
When your tool to beauty
becomes the tool
to help cut someone else's dark.

So that is why I am artist.
Not simply for choosing or for sanity,
but because it's in my heart,
it pumps through my veins,
it is my blood,
it is me.
I am artist.
And to detach this from me
is make someone new.
So it is not my choice really.
You asked why I choose this.
But in fact, this is why I can't not choose it.

The Beauty I See

This was the day that it all began
Hindsight hit me and then it ran
Elations fill my soul and my heart
Beginnings are just the point of start
Emotions lie buried deep below
Anxiety takes a hefty toll
Until the next time I see you again
Treat me as someone you would call friend
Your eyes become the mirror to your soul
I see all the beauty I am to behold
Somewhere beyond the rainbow I’m told
Everyone searches for that illusive gold
Emotions join with beauty and the visual is bold.
