Best Inspirationalwrite Poems
You’re waiting for inspiration to hit you like a lightening bolt,
As you doodle smiley faces on the corner of your paper.
You stare out the window
Becoming mesmerized by the river of white and red lights
from the interstate.
You pace the perimeter of your room,
As invisible Demons and Angels whisper clashing messages of
Encouragement and failure.
You close your eyes and say Omm to center your fractured self.
Returning the pen and paper,
You question how creative writing had once come so easily.
Without a thought,
You begin…
And write and write and write,
Until every last word
is emptied
from your soul.
Your pen drops to the floor,
You restrain your manic-inner critic’s compulsion
To edit and edit and edit..
And flee into the autumn night,
Half content and half tortured,
You breathe crisp air and stare up
at the star studded sky.
I never knew I would write
a poem that is wealthy and white
on a pad that is plain and powerful
amidst the poets that are bold and beautiful.
Now, I have got more passion to pen
poems that will thrill…rank among top ten.
So, I will write until fishes start to fear water
and babies start to breastfeed mighty mothers.
I will write until goats can chase lousy lions,
until plastics will start to bend ingot irons,
I will write until Satan is ready to repent,
and all land owners quits receiving rent.
I will write until, kids starts to claim crowns,
until an ant becomes the talk of the town,
I will write until, farmers start to harvest from the sky,
until all men starts to hail the God and stop to lie.
Who’s the best to hold a pencil,
And sketch out a lovely scene?
Who’s the best to clutch a paintbrush,
And make a canvass so serene?
Who’s the best to give an embrace,
And dance the night away?
Who’s the best to ever speak with,
And make a sky blue out of gray?
Who’s the best to compose a song,
And perform and entertain?
Who’s the best to write a novel,
And find fortune and fame.
Who’s the best to write a poem,
And to give a great tattoo?
Keep searching in your soul,
Because the best could be you.
I write not for consensus sake
Why should I? People don’t partake
In my insights, designs and schemes
Nor inhabit my nightly dreams.
I write because it’s a passion
My own particular fashion.
Whether those enjoy what I write
Or find fault with it, that’s alright!
The satisfaction I receive
Is from the notions I conceive
Expressed in rhythmic poesy.
This from me is a guarantee:
When inspiration finds me home
I am sure to write a poem.
