Premium Member Angel On My Shoulder

Angels on my right shoulder
Battling devils on the left
Ever guiding my actions
Saving my soul from bereft

Angels e'er amongst us
Like Clarence on Stewart's bridge
Softly urge us to avoid
Falling from grace at the ridge

My special angel's sweet voice
Sounds so much like my mother's
But you have an angel too
Who's unlike any other's

Spirits of loved ones who've passed
Want us to know heaven's joy
So we reunite with them
And eternal bliss enjoy

So, Mom, if you're listening
Your voice overtakes evil
Helping me find the right path
You've mastered soul retrieval

A wonderful life bestowed
By a righteous urging
From an angel observer
For spiritual merging

For the Wings of An Angel

He came to me on that warm sunny day
He asked me to follow him and promised to guide the way.

He said he needed a special angel like me
To watch over my friends and protect my family.

I didn’t want to leave you without saying good bye
I didn’t want to hurt you or make you cry.

But for the wings of an angel I couldn’t say no
And with his hand in mine he said it’s time to go.

Though you may not see me, you’ll know I’m still there
Wrapping you in my arms with loving care.

I’ll be the warm sun brightening your day
I’m the gentle breeze chasing your blues away.

I will touch your heart and make you feel
An angel’s love that you will know is real.

Everyday throughout the years
I’ll give you the courage to face your fears.

I’ll watch over you by night and by day
I’ll be the warm light that guides your way.

I’ll be the reason you suddenly smile
My spirit will follow you through your last mile.

For the wings of an angel I couldn’t say no
But I’ll always be there wherever you go!

At the request from a friend, I wrote this poem for a woman who was killed with her husband
while riding their Harley. They were rear-ended by a drunk driver. Drunk drivers are a
very angry subject with me...so I can not say anything more!

There Watching Us

An angel of life looking far into the beauty.
White dress with pink wings. The seagulls are doing her searching.
She is standing high on to a mountain side balcony.

She is waiting for her call.
So she can sweep down for them all.
She is an Angel she has seen many things.

She cares more about your heat
More about your soul.
The most of all.
Living things.

The Weight of Angel Wings

The Weight of Angel Wings
By Rick Rucker

Whenever I see you,
Strange things happen, not a clue
About how they could be,
Far too magical to see!

When you walk down the street,
All the songbirds choose to tweet,
Could this be merely random,
Or a case of rabid fandom?

Could my judgment be that clouded,
As my heart is way too crowded,
With the exploits of your spirit
The darkness you traverse, though you don't fear it!

You're amazing, through and through,
Your tales of accomplishments are true
You told me secret things,
Like the weight of Angel's wings!

I'm sort of sorry that you're now mortal,
But now you can show us all The Portal
To a blessed, brighter day,
In your own inimitable way!

To those of us that could never fly,
Can see only the underside of the sky
The Laws of Reason are quite formal
All of these things seem quite normal.

To a being not often earthly bound
It must be torture on the ground.
Dealing with petty troubles
Most of which are less than bubbles

On the winds of Divine Reason
To Whom, all of time, is as a season.
Our skirmishes, quite base
Seem to jeopardize our race

We are rushing ever faster,
Toward what appears to be disaster,
Unless compassion is soon felt,
Our whole planet will we melt?

A burning question all this begs:
Don't we all have arms and legs,
“Us versus Them” seems to resonate in our brain
“Wipe out the others,” a far too common refrain!

Could this be our human Fate
To crawl around, in fear and hate?
Will there be a time here soon,
When we won't fight over THE MOON?

Or some other place
That brings us all disgrace?
Wouldn't it be very nice
To recreate PARADISE?

To do it, we need a Vision True
Held by one just like you
That must be why you were sent here
To free us all from Hate and Fear!

Can you do it, despite the lack
Of your wings, will they grow back?
Or are you to be a GUIDE,
Not in the conflict, but on the side?

Please forgive the silly questions
If you would but give me suggestions
How to deal with one like you,
A Heavenly Wonder, an Angel true!

Treason's For Wrong

Treason's For The Wrongs

The wicked wizard has exiled their king.
The king is frozen in the shadow of darkness -
Where there is not no living things.

The castle is in a up roar people are scared and not knowing what to do.
The wizard is calling all the shots.
The dungeons are full.

There is no crown to be found inside the castle walls.
The wizard never knew that the kings angel took it with her when she seen
What was going on.

Finely the angel put the crown on the kings head.
The Ice shattered from his body then he became glories again.
Wondering where he was at his angel led the way.

Once the King reach the castle, with his mighty crown on his head.
He reached out for his sword then sleigh that wizard to death.
It took one hour to get things back in order or there would be no mercy on his Army
Treason's of Wrongs.

Premium Member The Tomb Was Empty

When Joseph had taken Jesus' body,
To his own new tomb where it was laid.
He sealed the door of the sepulchre,
By a great chiseled stone it was stayed.

Then there was Mary and the other,
Sitting over against the sepulchre door.
Not knowing of the events to happen,
Or what for them, God's plan, had in store.

To Pilate came Chief Priest's and Pharisees,
Following the preparation day.
Saying sir, the deceiver, while yet alive,
"After three days I will rise again" He did say.

Command therefore the tomb be sealed,
Lest by night, Disciples steal Him away.
Then Pilate said go, set ye there a watch,
It was Sabbaths end, and the weeks first day.

Then came the two Mary's the sepulchre to see,
And behold an earthquake came, full blown.
Descending from Heaven an Angel did appear,
Rolling from the sepulchre door the stone.

His look was as lightening, and raiment as snow,
With great fear the keepers were shaken.
To the Mary's was said, "this Jesus ye seek,
Has risen, His disciples have not taken".

The Angel said come, see the place He lay,
Finding naught, but His grave clothes.
He goeth into Galilee where you shall see,
Go tell His disciples that He arose.
