The City

Streaming lights brighten the distance,
It’s the vast city of persistence.
Tall buildings, thriving Squares
Couples, friends, and children all walk in pairs.

The bustling sounds of cars and people all amaze me,
Even though it all may seem absurd, in some way it is still sane.
The Technicolor feelings I receive from such a place are indescribable,
For it being such a vast place, I feel at home.

Everything rushes past me in a blur,
And still these great feelings seem to fill my heart and soul.
I walk the skies with my eyes and the sites with my mind,
This is just an image that would stay in my mind for a lifetime.

I close my eyes for a moment, I still see the epic sightings,
I let my ears roam the sounds of dreams at work.
The city is indeed amazing from my experience.

City of Tears

In the center of every teardrop
Is a city that's seldom seen
It's filled with pain and heartache
And everything in between

The streets are paved with promises
That's broken, from start to finish
The skies are filled with hopelessness
That hope cannot diminnish

Each teardrop holds a memory
That vanishes into air
Forgotten dreams fill the breeze
Like fog in the city square

In the square there stands a fountain
Its waters are filled with lies
Shattered smiles that turns to tears
Each time that someone cries

In the center of every teardrop
Is a city that reappears
Trapped inside a broken heart
That's called The City of Tears

Not Tame

Am I trapped in a game
Or just lost in my mind
I am one and the same
You can see I’m not blind

I’m not looking for fame
In those big city lights
I have put some to shame
In those big city fights

I am mixed up and jumbled
As they are the same
I’ve fought and I’ve rumbled
So I’m really not tame

As rough as a beast
That you will see
I come from the east
And I swing from a tree

I do not need a leash
I just want to be free
I am so way out of reach
I am so small I am wee

I can be quite a cretin
But I will never deprive
And I have been beaten
Though I got out alive

I have been so troubled inside
From where wounds were inflicted
Some would have curled up and died
But not me I just kicked it
