Spring Opens Her Eyes

As spring opens her sweet petal eyes, and the sun moves closer in our sky
I feel excitement in my heart, the increased speed, the extra spark
I witness the new tender growth, I breath in that sweet new note
I touch the skin on my aging face, I wonder if you do the same
Time has delivered the new season here, death, she will never fear
I hold on tightly to the past, please come soon, my time will pass
