Best Hearts And Flowers Poems

Hearts and Flowers - Romanticism In Rime Royal

If roses alabaster white e'er deign
To cast in crystal eyes one purposed song,
Dare tenderly to grasp the bluest vein
O, golden tears, a reddened heart ere long.
For blown, a wind of breath, whisked far along
Does shimmer in all time stood silent--still,
And by the lunar light, a broken will.

Come morning, to the rose in bed, love spoke
A cantillation voiced in bluebird tongue
How doth thy petals rise with blood of oak?
How dost thy stem ascend the fairest rung?
On heights o' heaven hast the soul been hung
For all, for all, to bare no droplet spared
O Life, in alabaster love repaired.

Hearts and Flowers

Hearts and flowers
go hand-in-hand,
receiving both is grand.

Hearts and flowers,
fill the air with romance,
making us want to dance.

Hearts and Flowers,
provide warm and fluttery feelings
like butterflies doing wheelings.

OF HEARTS AND FLOWERS

Today, we celebrate St. Valentine
With flowers and chocolates galore
We say to someone “please be mine”
And I'll love you evermore

We see cupid's arrow shot so straight
Into some lover's waiting heart
This tiny arrow sealed their fate
They were destined from the start

There are roses by the dozen
And heart shaped chocolate boxes
Love words are really buzzin'
From men as sly as foxes

So, ladies beware of cupid's bow
Don't take unnecessary chances
Men will not be slow
In casting furtive glances

Before too long, wedding bells ring
Your man didn't get away
And all because of one little thing
They call it Valentine's Day

Broken Hearts and Flowers

POEM " BROKEN HEARTS AND FLOWERS " by martin gedge

Rain from sadden eyes may fall and break a worried heart

but smile light when stars ignite may keep your soul in part

for once the bird has left the nest the best of what you do

is find the piece that makes you whole that bonds the very glue

and time will tell when feelings gel the road that you must keep

that ups and downs on every grounds walk both sides of the street

the value that you put to test will rest upon your eyes

and choose the view as clear as blue to make you realize

that hurt and hate don't consummate the health of what you know

for flowers sent cannot repent the battles of each blow

you are the queen of self esteem and always keep in mind

don't settle less but do invest to take the needed time

that lessens learned from pasts you burned may slip into the dust

for once you throw into the flow your very thought of trust

is what you hold like shining gold to never let it stray

you are the one that needs the sun to grow up everyday...

Premium Member A Pre-Valentine’s Frenzy Of Chocolates, Hearts And Flowers

Chocolates, hearts and flowers are ubiquitous in the markets or stores
It is like a frenzy storm, like heavy raindrops rushing through the gutters
I am told at the big mall, it’s like Christmas Eve, where procrastinators
Are buying boxes of chocolate, flowers, candies of all kinds and colors
Candles, jewelries, intimate pajamas, and sexy accessories for loved ones
Wow! Love must really be in the air or something different is quaffing
The oxygen, which is necessary and essential for our survivals. Something
Is in the fresh air, where the moon is full and craziness makes no sense
In this fascinating world, where babies are slaughtered and innocent victims
Are cursed, beaten, jailed and killed: I ponder and wonder. They don’t care
It’s is a show of tradition, not a show of unconditional love. I cannot bare
Not to say anything about what I’m witnessing and living. Bad dreams
Endure; they don’t last. Nightmares see the devil in the dark in your bedroom
I guess, hope and pray that Saint Valentine can improve the current events
Yet, I am afraid of the hypocrisy, which behaves like evil rats and pesky ants
Yes, I am confused, shocked and bewildered by so much extravagance for only one day
I write and pray that true love rains and reigns, and tolerance shines on Valentine’s day.
