What Time Is It?

Have you ever had one those days
When you just couldn't get out of bed?
Your snooze alarm keeps going off
And your eyelids feel like lead

"Just five more minutes" you tell yourself
You know that's all it will take
But that, somehow, turns into twenty-five
Before you start to wake

Then, you finally find the energy
To face the coming day
You stumble to the bathroom
While mumbling along the way

You take your morning shower
Make sure your teeth are brushed
You check to see if the seat is down
And all your business flushed

You finally get your morning coffee
Your eyeslids now free from lead
You check to see if the dog needs out
Before you even comb your head

You head out toward the driveway
And crawl into the car
That sound still drives you crazy
That says your door's ajar

You fight the morning traffic
As you're finally on your way
Embarrassment overwhelms you
As you realize, it's saturday

Sleepyhead

There is nothing like waking from a sleep
Slowly remembering parts of a dream
They are all yours and yours to keep
Woken up by a morning sunbeam

If your lucky a sleep will befall you
Dreaming that dream into oblivion
Walk on the wild side, stay cool
Why not make love on that bearskin

Continuation dreams are the best
You can to kill the beast and get the girl
There's really nothing to confess
You know it's all a different world

Wake to remember her subtle scent
Recollecting a fading interlude
Wondering where the morning went
Then realizing you slept till noon

A Morning of Don David Daewoo

(Please read "An Evening of Don David Daewoo" at www.poemhunter.com before this)

Inside a specially constructed secret closet was the Danish Daewoo's son,
(It looked like the sacred vestry of the pastor and parson)
Some bold murmur he made, not so long and broad,
Repentance before the cock crowed.

Some cracking you heard of a page perused,
(Was thought of a Bible he privately used)
Some sibilant whistle and a beautiful baritone hum,
Some morning worship by the charming chum.

Then to the gym and again to the lawn,
A little karate and building brawn;
A walk and stalk and he ran some rounds,
And he Said, "I hate much fat, I gonna pour some pounds."

Now the sweated don would go for a shower,
And liked it cold in that morning hour;
Two eggs and milk and he left the door,
To be in lab again, and finish before four.

Taking those photos
Sunrises, sunsets
Beautiful nature
What sights to see

Download very soon
On the computer
Where they flash across
The screen surprise me

Just like I am there
This morning sunrise
Flashed across the screen
But there that bright dot

Morning star shinning
I don't remember
Taking that picture
Early morning dark

Half-asleep_distance
Let me get closer
No glasses _sleepy eyes
Close enough now

That isn't morning star
It is just that mouse
That mouse cursor
Pretending to be star....
