Who Me? Long.Winded?

My friend let me share with you,
the secret of what I do,
It really is a mystery,
I have no clue is the truth you see?
It just happens to me.

I ask many questions,
I don't pretend to know,
of what's so familiar it makes
my heart glow. It just is.
From lifetimes ago.

I have a story of what it might be.
Floats around in my head,
demands attention from me.
Compelled to write an
arrangement on life.
Hearing the language
of what's behind my eyes.
But I don't know why.

I love all the same,
everything about this crazy game.
I'm fortunate and grateful to hear,

Another voice in the Wind out there.
Even if understanding's not clear.

It feels quite right,
like the warmth of a light,
Like the smell of a fresh spring day.
I'm in love with it,
when it comes my way.

A mystery this voice in me,
as puzzles are shown to my eyes.
And I don't know why….
But to my own surprise….
Sometimes I try and it's not quite right.
Sometimes I don't and then it takes flight,
and it's right….and a quiet write into light...
but I don't know why.

Just a glimpse you see… it's the oddest part
of the secret me.

Poet 2 Poet

Poet 2 poet

We all have different writing styles, and we
May not all have grace and poise.
But when we do write, it’s all to make some noise.

We want to be recognized by the co-poets
All fair and true.
For writing our poetry is what we all like to do.

So I welcome all my co-poets who take this beautiful ride
And all their dreams and visions, they do find.

We do not only write what comes into our minds
But we write from the heart
And this is where poetry gets its start.

So continue to write all that you see and feel
Because these are human emotions.
That from us, no one can steal.

WELCOME ABOARD THIS TRAIN OF POETRY.

I Eat and Breathe Poetry Soup

this room to me is where i feel safe
it is my second home it is a real place

i can write my poems and express myself
never having to worry about anyone else

alot of talent all from around the world
from grown folks to little boys and girls

we all speak from the heart in different ways
writing what comes from our mind each day

a mixture of flavors all on one sundae
everyone taking a dip

all circles of life from all over the place
reaching out to be heard

with open minds and blessings prevail a true poet
some born with talent some still dont know it

our fingers touch eachothers mind
in time through our words a friend we'll find

so keep poetry soup alive and lets rock n roll
for this room is kept alive through our great poets soul

to all the wonderful poets out there nice to write with you

Poetry Soup...My New Friends

I am not a poet.
And those who read my poems know it.
I do not write deep, dark thoughts.
My mind won't think that way.
The only kind of thoughts I think
are happy glad and gay.
For writing something light.
I might be very bright.
But writing something deep.
Would only sound real cheap.
I would love, as some of you,
to write something so profound.
So that when on Poetry Soup you read.
It would really knock you down.
I don't pretend or put on airs,
It's plain for all to see,
I can only do my little bit
and be just plain ole' me.
And as I stated at the first,
please note and don't forget.
I'm not a poet and I know it,
but I'm glad we all have met!

For all of you good people on Poetry Soup. I'm not a poet really but a musician. Love trying
a little though and appreciate every comment and all the help that everyone has given.
Thanks....Marty (Please don't call me Martin, that's someone else) lol
