Best Framing Poems
Poetry is my photographer's way of taking a picture,
my way of capturing the moments our hearts envelope
and need to express. It's a snap shot
of the before, in between and after seen now...
NOW, RIGHT NOW!...
...What - I - felt,
What - she- thinks,
What - he - will - do...
...It encapsulates the heart of each poet's under-
standing for how to bring everything into words,
and focuses the listener into a sure way of receiving
what others mean to roll into your camera.
The seconds passing can now embrace the all
of life AND time for you to have now...
NOW, RIGHT NOW!...
...NOW can have more than the speaker standing
and the now that is spoken, but can release
the imagination to discover the realness of what
connects us all and en frame the totality of
existence into this moment...
As the shutter shuts, you impress into the world ideas...
Ideas like love lost, or an oak tree in mid-autumn...
You can engage your heart to feel united to a teenager
who lived 350 years ago and bring her back to life...
as well as unlock and set free your terminal uniqueness
and end loneliness forever now,
NOW, RIGHT NOW!...
...All you have to do is read and listen
and we can connect to each other....
maybe not this poem, maybe not the next...
let the shares become the film developing,
staying tuned in...
and everything you've ever been waiting to hear
can reach you!
...You can feel oneness with others,
ease the pillar of your soul,
comprehend your inhibitions,
put to rest your cravings,
or set loose your laughter...
...Time can angle your lens and catch what everything
looks like, but a poet can capture and increase
the moods and tones of the photo so you can
FEEL what the picture looks like with one flash...
and cause a picture to breathe....
So......take a deep breathe...
rub yourselves into your clothes....
...feel the texture of all the material,
maybe on your thighs or your shoulders...
..........smile...
go ahead and feel the texture of your own smile...
...SAY CHEESE...
and welcome to the now, NOW...
right now.

FRAMING THE PIN-UP GIRL
His hands, they frame and catch, the pin-up girl.
Tanned hands, they're hot - he drops his sweaty palms.
Her lips - plum succulence. Hair’s suavely curl ~
a brilliant cinnamon. He has some qualms.
Approaches beauty queen with plastered smile.
She feigns to look away ~ that’s just her way.
Performance broken by his slipshod style.
Turns out, they're moon and sun ~ like night and day.
The opposite attract of belle and nerd,
A curative for broken-hearted ~ bliss.
A certain bit of trouble is assured.
Before the final curtain falls ~ love’s kiss.
He’s coy and lovable and kind of dreamy.
She’s brash and pushy but she’s rather steamy.

Hazy pictures were displayed
Old oaken frames contained them
Hanging slight off kilter right
The walls littered like leaves in autumn lawns
Grandma keeps glimpses of every leaf pile we made
Remember that Day? Indepence Day, we think...
Smiled postures, sincere familial moment
Each recounting the tales we told most well
Classic family fables...annual oral essays
The laughs reached hysterics, when we remembered.....
These pictorial journals stand proud
Historical record of Easter egg-hunt/fist-fights
account of dogs who eat cake...sons first birthday
the dog ate the cake on his FIRST birthday?!!
Picture proved guilt for Bailey, you mutt!!
Chocalate chops-licking as if smiling for the camera
Christmas collages of gift wrapping typhoons
Swirling in heaps covering everything
Your eyes were half shut holding
holding an Alf doll...old school dated stuff
Fashion victim flashbacks...man, you had a perm?!
relishing rubicks cubes , mysterious artifact
I could never have vengeful laughing
without this"Wham" haircut snapshot
Grandma likes the silly one we took
eyes crossed, fish lipped child faces
chubby wind burned cheeks, pushed through snowsuit hoods
Snowman center stage in a motley group pose
bordered either side, white barred polaroid
taped, crudley cropped, in center of this frame
Each still reinactment is a Joyful look beyond
Life had painted beautiful moments,
and we were there to catch it....

Alliteration
Time is fast,
Time is slow,
But we all must take a specific route,
But holding back, from all the Doubt,
That we may have in our heads,
Say your prayers, before you lay down and goto bed,
Sometimes, it may seem that He isn't real,
All I can say is that He supplies my meals,
He pays all my bills,
Just from me doing His own will,
And keeping His commandments
He keeps blessing , and blessing me,
Even though He the only one that hold the key,
He has set my spirit free,
So I thank Him more and more,
Because He has opened up many doors.
I dont know where I would be,
If I didnt have the love and faith that I for Him,
Probably out on a limb,
So clear head and began a new start
Because Jesus wants to live forever in your heart!

Framing the pictures
I’ve never seen these faces
They used to be familiar
But now they are but a memory
Where did the time go?
I thought I knew you
I thought you knew me
But my soul has ruptured
My time has come
I have nothing left
But broken glass
And fleeting spirits
