A Different Story

the sun once raised in a time
when i thought i had it all
the world, the universe, was mine
i never thought I'd ever fall

until one day i hear a squeak
and up to heaven i pull my eyes
i stare and ogle to get a peak
and there an angel towards me flies

the sun now set, its another time
i lost my throne and all my glory
still in the dark her light will shine
my god, this girl .. a different story

like a name written on a sandy shore
taken away by salty waves
she disappears with nothing more
than a distant look and silent waves

again that squeak someday i hear
i look up, and among the clouds
her face is carved, shouting im here
this time im staying, i take my vows.
