From the church tower, a sorrowful knell,
listen closely, a story it does tell.
Each reverberation, lands like a tear,
as the family of mourners gathers near.
For each year in a life, the knell does sound.
Twelve in all, such a short resound.
A soul too young, to hold such burden.
Forever to lie within the garden.
Each family member lays a rose upon,
the head stone, there in the early dawn.
A Mother lifts her face and listens,
the church bells knell, her daughters' been forgiven
