Best Familychildren Poems
Together at last
Your children are my children
My children are yours
Mama cried nearly every day
Depression then undiagnosed
Tears shed, no apparent reason
Confined to bed, embryo posed
No words seemed to lift her spirits
Her children thought that they’d done wrong
We offered smiles, encouragement
At times we gathered ‘round in song
But mom responded to crisis
Troubled heart offered great comfort
When we were sick or dealt a blow
She stepped outside, offered support
The agony that she endured
Took her from this world in her youth
Despite the torment in her soul
She loved her children, that’s the truth
Now we picture her smiling down
Frolicking with angelic hosts
Helping as only she could do
Chemical imbalance just a ghost
* Dedicated to my beloved mother who always managed to find the strength to be
there for her children despite her ongoing battle with depression. She died before
people knew depression could be linked to a chemical imbalance.
The rains have washed away
all the streets and uprooted the trees
while the grass stays covered with raindrops
making the water seep inside the shoe's skin
There is a mother who stands at her doorstep
She waits for her children to come back
cares and cleans their muddily drenched clothes
and washes their hair with soap
it has taken all her time, to leave her
with the thought of nothing but them
She cooks daily and listens to dailies
this is how she spends her time 15 years later
no other care in the world but
obsessed with her midlife crisis
she has forgotten her dreams were once killed
when she got married early.
All through the years she never once regretted
but today when the rains have departed
she discovers she could be what she couldn't be
and now she wants her children to be.
the sigh of autumn
comes in life
when dreams are mirrored in other lives
The old man wanted to pursue law
instead works in a bank.
he has built a world with his two kids
and makes them study what he left on a page, blank,
his children listen to him carefully
when he retells his story
to them it is a new discovery
of what their father could have been
the sigh of autumn
comes when the leaves dry out
your dreams are visited in the catacombs
and now he is older and another on the bed
they could be more but they like
to laze and order from there......
and they don't have regrets
just different stories to tell
the sigh of autumn
is whispered when their little ones
get tired of them...........
The sky darkens
ignited by the lightening
a few people stand on their balconies to watch
a family sits and plays card
and another day another say
Sigh if you like, the autumn will go by
until it reappears..............
Friends may go and friends my come
No one can ever replace them
love children unconditionally with maternal love
No one can ever explain
Forgive all of their children's short comings
Long as they may live
Hearts of gold their hands to hold
From birth until it does not matter how old
Their children always live in their hearts
You can rely on them come what may
In the depths of their soul you will always stay
I encourage you comfort respect honor visit enjoy
Reverence adore them your whole life long
All will be lost when they are forever gone
My children in cold anguish seethe
A spiteful mind sowed them with sinister seed
We praise them as they succeed
In the material world to live as emotional weed
Their little wings unfeathered for spiritual flight
O help me pray for then tonight
O parents, when you seek revenge
Against your sundered complement, remember
My children, just causes God avenge
If your cause is just, why blaze the cold ember
To advertise the bitterness of anger, suspend
Digging of the pit for sad end
Save the children when things fall
Apart, sure these silent years have wasted me
My choice to back against the wall
But time unweaves the false plots of history
And innocense is ambrosia to my hungry soul
Sea stones are clean where salt waters roll.
Taste the blood of your young and commit it to memory
May it taste so distasteful it sours your face and curdle's your sight
For the thought of there harm be your scariest fright
Offer them Protection from that which you fear
Wrap them in cotton and hold them most Dear
To your children give Love from heaven above
Pass on your knowledge your dreams and your vision'
Your's to dominate , Your's to castigate but mainly to educate
What's right from whats wrong and when to be strong
For you are all they have seen and where upon there personalities will demean
Treat your children well or they will tell
